Retailers already launching pre-orders for PlayStation 4

It's only been a few days since the PlayStation 4 was officially announced, but retailers are already beginning to take pre-orders for the gaming console. In the United Kingdom, Game Retail Limited, and ShopTo are already taking pre-orders for the gaming console. With a small deposit, customers are able to reserve the PS4 just in time for the holidays. Amazon's UK website also has a dedicated PlayStation 4 section that allows people to sign-up to be notified when the PlayStation 4 is available to be pre-ordered.

This week we've been following along with the release of the Sony PlayStation 4 and even stopped by the event to see what all the hype was about. One of the biggest questions that continues to appear is "will the PlayStation 4 play used games?" PlayStation 4 cloud services bringing “Everything Everywhere”

This week the PlayStation 4 was revealed with no less than Gaikai-powered cloud gaming prepared for a future in which Sony's aim is "Everything Everywhere." In this case it means that PlayStation 3 games will be able to be played by any device at any time, streaming over the web rather than being physically run from a disk on the system. PlayStation 3 games, they've made sure to say and define several times as separate from PlayStation 4 games, will not run natively on the PlayStation 4, but with Gaikai technology you'll be able to work with these games via the cloud.

Activision is pulling away from licensed games

Activision has announced that they will be moving away from the licensed games, meaning there will be fewer games from the James Bond, Transformers, Men in Black, and Spider-Man series. Rumor has it that James Bond will be seeing its end really soon. Activision is following the same move that Electronics Arts made back in 2008. EA Games president, Frank Gibeau, said at the time that "the days of licensed-based, 75-rated games copies are dead like the dinosaur."
