Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus detail rundown

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus detail rundown

Leaks aplenty have lent themselves to the upcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. This device is the next in a line of devices that come with curved edges - more than one, to be clear - in both standard and larger screen sizes. While the first Samsung Galaxy Note Edge was extremely similar to its size sibling, the Galaxy Note 4, this Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is sure to shake things up. This isn't going to be a curved Note, it's going to be a big S6.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 details leaked: GS6 eclipsed

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 details leaked: GS6 eclipsed

Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 has been revealed in early images depicting the device as a very close hardware relative of the Galaxy S6. This means glass back, a rounded metal rim, and a very high quality camera. In the images of cases as posted (likely out of embargo) to auction sites internationally and passed on to SlashGear anonymously, we see that this device is just as similar to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy Note 4 was to the Galaxy S5. One mirrors and out-does the other.

Galaxy Note 5 Edge is better off S Pen-less

Galaxy Note 5 Edge is better off S Pen-less

Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 Edge edition is tipped to be released without the standard S Pen. This follows well with feedback from commenters on their experience with the S Pen and the first Galaxy Edge, as slipping off the bend isn't all that uncommon. A much larger edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge is what this new Galaxy Note 5 Edge would be, with two edges like its smaller relative and no S Pen inside. A simple way to move beyond the required stylus, or a mistake waiting to happen?

Because you'll get that too.

Milk Video Review – Samsung’s YouTube

Milk Video Review – Samsung’s YouTube

While it might seem strange to call Milk Video "Samsung's YouTube" since it contains actual YouTube content, know this: it's what this software feels like that counts. Over the past few weeks I've been using Samsung's Milk Video on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 regularly. Once I received a Samsung Galaxy S6 for review over on Android Community, I began using Milk Video there as well. Of this I'm sure: once you get past the idea that you're no longer in your video comfort zone, Samsung's work with Milk Video shines.

Samsung confirms “premium” smartphones coming soon

This afternoon co-CEO of Samsung Electronics Shin Jong Kyun spoke at a shareholder meeting about the future of their smartphone business. "Samsung Electronics aims to consolidate its leadership in the premium market," said Shin Jong Kyun, "and plans to newly change the smartphone line-up to strengthen competitiveness."

Galaxy Note 5’s Gear VR will be a “full-on consumer” release

Galaxy Note 5’s Gear VR will be a “full-on consumer” release

This week at GDC 2015, Oculus Rift's John Carmack suggested that the company would be going full-on consumer release within Samsung's next release cycle. This does not necessarily mean that Oculus Rift will be released inside Samsung's next release cycle, but that Samsung's next Gear VR would be released in a big way. That very likely means that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have a Gear VR released right alongside the smartphone. So look to the Samsung Gear VR 2 - for Galaxy S6, revealed this week - to get an idea of where you're going later this year.

Galaxy Note Edge hits Verizon, throws AT&T curveball on pricing

The Galaxy Note Edge is a unique device. With a waterfall edge on the right side (in portrait), the Note Edge has some interesting use cases.
