Fixed Samsung Galaxy Nexus stock has arrived in the UK, with a software patch in place to address the volume bug that affects existing handsets when using 2G 900MHz networks. The new supplies have been updated with new software by Samsung, retailer Clove claims, though it's still not exactly clear what the amended firmware actually does to the Ice Cream Sandwich handset. Verizon Galaxy Nexus pre-orders open tomorrow, no proof necessary

There's a few claims being written up today on the Galaxy Nexus as it'll be dropping on Verizon, each of them pointing in the direction of a pre-order date starting tomorrow, the 29th of November, 2011. What we're hearing is that there's this fellow by the name of Mike Peak who has been the only person in the world who's been able to contact Verizon and get a solid date out of them as far as when the magical Ice Cream Sandwich device will be available for purchase complete with LTE connectivity. Galaxy Nexus volume bug fix released

Samsung and Google may not have released their fix for the Galaxy Nexus volume flaw yet, but that hasn't stopped the Android modding community from addressing the problem itself. A patch said to be the official release to address the problem - which sees volume fluctuate when the 2G 900MHz band is used - has been released by MoDaCo, ahead of Samsung's own schedule which is believed to have temporarily stopped shipments. We have no idea if this ad is legit or not, but this is the price that we were hoping for. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone has been price tipped via an ad. Apparently, the ad you see in the photo below is some sort of flash ad that is running somewhere. I’ve got most ads blocked so that may be the reason I haven’t seen it.

Galaxy Nexus LTE shows off its extra bulk

Google has given us a glimpse of just how extra-chunky adding LTE and a slightly larger battery makes the Galaxy Nexus, adding a 360-degree viewer of the fuller-figured Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone to its product page. Whereas the HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus on sale in the UK since last week is 8.9mm thick, the LTE version expected to hit Verizon on December 8 is 9.47mm thick.

Samsung UK has joined Google in promising a software fix for the volume bug in the Galaxy Nexus, suggesting that the company “will update devices as soon as possible”; however, more retailers have apparently reacted to the issue by freezing shipments of the ICS smartphone. Samsung took to Twitter to confirm its awareness of the volume issue, indicating that software tweaks would address the randomly fluctuating in-call audio experienced by some Galaxy Nexus Owners.
