Fujifilm's FinePix Real 3D camera is expected to cost around $600 when it arrives in the US and Europe come September, making the 10-megapixel stereoscopic-shooter around twice the price of comparable 2D rivals. The camera uses two lenses - spaced roughly the distance of human eyes - to capture two frames simultaneously, combining those in real-time to create a 3D image that can be viewed on special hardware.

Apple stole headlines this week with a surprise update just seven days after refreshing their Mac line. The new 4GB iPod shuffle is even smaller than the original, using an in-line remote and VoiceOver spoken tracknames to get around the absence of a display. Apple also released iTunes 8.1, while rumors of a multitouch 10-inch netbook flourished as first Chinese then US press picked up on the capacitive panel trail.
We met with Fujifilm at PMA 2009 to find out more about their 3D Real Image system (made up of a 3D digital camera, 3D digital display and 3D printer). Essentially, it was the same demonstration that was showcased at Photokina 2008, but this time around, in addition to the concept camera, we have gallery of the finished product.
Another pair of FujiFilm are much conventional, sleek looking with aluminum brushed and slim body design but simplified in features. The Fujifilm FinePix J20fd and J250 are both 10-megapixel compact digicam with automatic scene recognition, face detection and Image Stabilization technology – digital CCD sensor shift and ISO- based on the latter and ISO-based only the J20fd.

Fujifilm has today announced the successor to its popular FinePix S1000 with FinePix S1500, an affordable super zoom compact digicam features a 10 megapixel image sensor, 2.7-inch LCD and a Fujinon 12x optical zoom lens with 35mm equivalent distance of 33-396mm.

Fujifilm has unveiled the FinePix F200EXR digicam with its new breed of Super CCD EXR technology, a 1/1.6-inch 12-megapixel image sensor that’s capable of altering photodiodes’ light captures to optimize image quality in three different ways : high solution, dynamic range or low noise high iso sensitivity capture. The camera has a 3-inch LCD display, 5x optical zoom ranges of 28-140mm (35mm equiv.), Dual Image Stabilizer, Face Detection 3.0, and incorporates the groundbreaking EXR mentioned above in both auto or manual modes.
Fujifilm has quietly snuck in a slim type FinePix digital compact onto its global site. The new FinePix J15fd boasts 8.2MP, a Fujinon 3x optical zoom and a 1/2.5-inch CCD sensor to push ISO 1600 light sensitivity as well as VGA movie recording capability. The camera has a thin profile of 19mm, measures at its thinnest part and packs with advance features like Face Detection, Picture Stabilization Mode, Automatic Red-eye reduction, and versatile preset shooting modes for novices and intermediate users.
