Fiat, Alpha Romeo and Mazda team up for roadster project

Mazda and Ford worked together in the automotive market for a long time before that partnership fell apart. Must is now set for another partnership with other automakers including Fiat and alpha Romeo to build a small roadster based on the Mazda Miata MX-5 platform. Fiat uses Google Street view to photo bomb Volkswagen

Someone at Fiat has a sense of humor, and that can be something rare in the automotive industry. Apparently, Fiat was paying attention to when the Google Street View camera cars were cruising around a Swedish city called Södertälje where VW's Swedish headquarters is located. If the Fiat 500 can be compared to a Volkswagen New Beetle, then the new Fiat 500L being shown off at the Geneva Motor Show could almost certainly be compared to the Mini Clubman. Fiat and Chrysler eye a third partner, Peugeot/Citroen coming to the US?

The Fiat and Chrysler partnership is intended to help share the cost of designing and developing vehicles and more. One of the first products resulting from the tie up between Chrysler and Fiat was the importing of the Fiat brand back to the US with cool products like the Fiat 500 Abarth edition; the Dodge Dart was another collaboration. Fiat 500 Abarth coming to US, to debut at LA Auto Show

Back when I went to the Texas Auto Show, I got my first up close look at the little Fiat 500 cars and thought they looked pretty cool. Our resident Brit, Chris Davies, pointed out at the time that if I thought the normal Fiat 500 was a cool car, I should see the hopped up enthusiast grade Abarth version of the 500. Fiat 500: perhaps the coolest cheap car ever

There were a bunch of cool cars at the Texas State Fair and a bunch of them scattered around were entry-level cars that were designed to be a cheap means of transportation. Most of them looked like cheap cars too. When I ambled by the Fiat booth the new Fiat 500 and 500C caught my eye right away.
