This week we got the opportunity to sit down with HP and Project Runway Season 9′s winning designer Anya Ayoung Chee to speak about her win of the Intel & HP design challenge. We were at Showstoppers CES 2012 and spoke about no less than how technology made the task of being a modern day designer a wholly enjoyable one – textiles to integrated media, all of it sits at the heart of her interests. For the HP design challenge she spoke on how the technology the contestants needed to use was very user friendly and made her taking part in the challenge a positive one – an organic feel to the whole situation made for, again, a positive experience from start to finish. Social media, Chee noted, is a part of her every day life, Twitter especially, she connecting with her fan base in a way that designers of the past never had the opportunity to.

The HP Spectr was the next bit of subject matter, the device working with Gorilla Glass in a whole new way, both inside and outside, with a high definition display and a powerful set of innards for a media fabulous experience. Beats Audio is of course integrated, complete with the red light, and performance and aesthetics sit at the head of the release. HP Folio 13 was next, with 9 hours of battery life and a 13-inch screen along with a thin overall chassis size made for an everyone-friendly experience. The third laptop you see on the table in the video is the HP Elitebook 2760p, another notebook which, as your humble narrator’s experience with the HP Elite line will tell you, is no joke when it comes to being hearty and powerful.

Have a peek at the interview video above and check out Chee’s Twitter feed at @AnyadeRogue. We presented Chee with one of our fabulously fashionable SlashGear messenger bags, of course, to send her back off into the world of fashion and extravagance.

There’s a pair of headphones in your future, one made by Urbanears and called Plattan, the start of a line of earpieces made with both comfort and fashionability in mind. This isn’t the first time Urbanears have made a set of earpieces with both of those features in mind, but what you’ll get is certainly something unique, what with the undeniably cool quilted material that’ll make your head say “ahhh.” You get 40mm handmade drivers for fantastic sound, a fold-down design to keep the phones transportable, and almost as a bonus, a “Zound Plug” that allows you to daisy chain the sound to all your friends!

You’ve got a basic 3.5mm stereo plug to start with here – plug them in to any of the thousands and millions of devices you’d normally plug your headphones in to. The cord your plugging in is fabric covered and 120cm / 47-inches long – tangle resistant, of course. The frequency response of these magical beasts is 20Hz to 20kHz, and you’ll be blasting your eardrums out at a sensitivity of up to 115dB. All your everyday devices will work fine with these phones, but know that you’ll be able to go up to a max input power of 40mW if you find the need.

You’ve got a massive collection of colors on the line, from Tomato to Mocca to Indigo to Mustard, and now you’ve got the most excellent of them all: quilted black. Or Black Quilted as they say, and this edition just costs $20 USD more than the rest of the line. Head over to Urbanears online store to pick up a pair right this second, and make sure you take a peek at the close-up pics below to see what you’re getting into.

This week the folks at Cadence watch company have enlisted the help of Chris Thompson, a fellow known for his creation of the “Math Clock,” to create a new timepiece by the name of Radian Watch — my question for you, readers, is how relevant you find wristwatches in general? What we’ve got here is the assignment of Thompson as a new Creative Director for the Cadence watch company as well as his showing of the Radian Watch which uses equations around the face to show the time. Of course aside from this watch being made with high quality materials, would you consider this relevant to your interests as a gadget and technology reader?

This watch is one that’s meant to speak to mathematic geeks and will be produced by the Philadelphia-based Cadence watch company soon. This watch combines the unit circle with the 12 hour dial like you’d normally see, but wait – right there at the 3 position is a 0, and pi sits where you’d normally see a 9. The angle measurements at each of the hours are called out by Thompson, and the eighths are in there as well. All this make sense to you?

Behind the numbers that’s no ordinary twirl, that’s the Archimedean spiral, one that graphs the equation r = a + bθ, and is described as looking “cool” by Thompson, who placed it there for that reason, of course. You can win one of these watches by simply placing your email in the slot on a Radian watch giveaway page at Cadence, or just wait a brief period before the watch is release formally. Look like something you’d wear to your local math convention? How about a present for your favorite math professor?

And for the inevitable commenters screwing up their fingernails typing furiously on what the definition of the word “technology” is, the real question is this: are you, the SlashGear reader, interested in seeing non-digital watches daily?

There’s this thing about social commentary – it doesn’t matter. Or at least that’s what folks like Zuckerberg and the +1 folks at Google don’t want you to believe. Today you’ve got the opportunity to make yourself heard with a “Meh” shirt on Woot, one with a mark modeled after the “Like” button and pointing in a certain “whatever” direction. As a child of the Nevermind generation, I can’t possibly resist. Will you get a “Meh” shirt, or will you just forget about it?

This is all part of a much bigger issue, if you ask me, one born of complete not-caring for the barrage of YOU MUST CHOOSE bursting forth from every internet seam. Even the sale of the shirt begs you to decide. But let me ask you this: will you sign up for Google+, will you stick with Facebook and continue to Like all things, or will you keep on making Facebook groups dedicated to getting that Thumbs Down button? Dislike all, please!

For those of you who don’t give a hoot about any of these social networks popping up here and there, this is the shirt for you – but I implore you: don’t buy it. Instead show your not caring and complete lack of devotion to the cause (and all causes) by just sharing the image above. In fact, don’t even link back to anything, because that would mean that you care, and you don’t.

Kurt Cobain, you’ve ruined us all forever.

Adding to the ever-increasing collection of big-name brands and fashion lines delivering 3D eyewear to the market, Armani has today announced their first ever 3D eyewear to be released by A|X Armani Exchange. The aesthetic for these glasses is described as a fusion of 80′s retro with a modern yet classic navigator shape. These glasses work with “the most popular 3D format found in movie theaters” which we’re just going to assume means RealD. These glasses also have an array of features which makes them seem like a pretty good candidate for everyday use as well as for chilling in the theater watching Tron Legacy, Freddy’s Dead, or Pig Robots from Planet 9.

Armani A|X 3D eyewear features a high tech multilayered mirrored lens coating that will both minimize distortion when looking in a mirror and works to enhance contrast and superior viewing through your entire day. On the back of the glasses, another layer had been added that again reduces glare, scattered light, and blue light so the quality of your viewing experience in the theater will be second to none. Your experience viewing films will be further improved by the optically correct 6-base curved lenses of the glasses, with circular polarized tech that allows 98% of all visible light through – this providing an “edge-to-edge distortion free viewing” whenever you’re watching your favorite new 3D blockbuster.

Perhaps you’re so into your everyday life that you’d like to record it all? Now you can, you ol’ fashion conscious geek hipster nerd. These particular glasses have a fat gray rim all around, probably you could get a prescription lens in there if you’d like, and right in the middle is a HD 1280 x 960 resolution camera that records at 30 frames per second. Not too shabby! All video then goes straight to a MicroSD card slot where you’ll be putting in anything up to 8GB.

You can also take still images at the same resolution and the batteries in these love goggles provide what they say is two to three hours on a single charge (which is done via USB.) But wait – there’s more. One thing that’s really amazingly backward about these sweet rims is a blinking LED light indicator. What in the world? Might as well just use a camera so large you can’t carry it if you’re going to be blinking green from your face. Cripes! Still I want a pair. They’re not branded though really, so I’m a teensy bit skeptical about their overall quality.

This watch, a concept project by André Sheydin, works on your new-age thought process that tells you you don’t need one, not since you’ve got a phone in your pocket that gives you all that information just as easy as looking at your wrist. Why does it make you think twice about that? Because it’s gorgeous, works two ways, and is so far back on the concept train that it’s completely transparent and requires no power source.

That’s right, it’s so totally lovely. This watch changes color depending on the time of day (clear or black and inverted) and shows you the hours, minutes, seconds, days, and months, all on rings of tics that move according to the orbit they’ve got to take around your wrist. You know what that means? Six sets of tics flicking around your wrist all day long at different speeds. Splendid!

So you plan on traveling for the holidays, yes? And you’re feeling kind of political, and want to get a jab in at TSA and their new screening process, perhaps? Well then, designers Tim Geoghegan and Matthew Ryan have just the set of clothing your you! And not only you, your whole family, with t-shirts, underwear (men’s and women’s), and kids clothing. What does it consist of, you might ask? Why, the fourth amendment printed in metallic ink, of course! And you know what metallic ink does when you pass through a TSA scanner, right?

Oh my goodness the padness of today. Let me tell you all about it, then, if you’re into new ways of chipping around, let Douglas L. Davis tell you all about it. First, lets get Douglas L Davis out of the way – he works at Intel and had a reconfigurable atom chip for you. Then we’ve got a Synology DiskStation DS211 review that I bet flew under a lot of folks radars as it was out late Friday. Then our Week with NOOKcolor began with Hardware on Saturday, Avi wrote an amazing column on 2014 VS 1984, Don tells us why his Wii is dusty, and iOS 4.2 is released for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Then it gets really exciting: e-paper on regular paper, we get our hands on a Dell Inspiron Duo, and Notion Ink’s Adam tablet receiving its very own webpage – wowzers!
SlashSECURITY
If you’re living in the United States of America and have been for the past few weeks or so, or better yet have a connection to the internet and read basically any English news site, you’ve probably come in contact with a horror story regarding the TSA’s policies regarding their radiationtastic x-ray machine the Backscatter or their pat-down techniques. Today a story has arisen from a blogger by the name of Matt Kernan who was told he’d have to go through this TSA checkpoint. A quote from Kernan in response to a TSA manager telling him their policy: “I am aware that it is policy, but I disagree with the policy, and I think that it is unconstitutional. As a U.S. citizen, I have the right to move freely within my country as long as I can demonstrate proof of citizenship and have demonstrated no reasonable cause to be detained.” Matt Kernan, after 2.5 hours of reasoning with several levels of authority, was allowed through TSA security without being scanned or patted down, his constitutional rights fully in-tact.

In an effort, I’m sure, to blast through the headline barrage of designer 3D glasses of late, Oakley released some Legacy Gascan 3D Glasses in celebration of TRON: Legacy which will release next month (December 2010.) The news of these glasses came around October 26th. It’s now November 8th, and Oakley’s sent over a press release announcing the “World’s First Optically Correct 3D Glasses,” namely, Oakley 3D Gascan®.

Basically, these are the same glasses we reported on with the TRON branding, only this time there’s no TRON. In a black model and a white model, these glasses aim to set the standard for optical performance in 3D, and they’re available now over at Oakley. “This is a landmark moment in 3D entertainment,” says Oakley CEO Colin Baden.

“No one has ever engineered optically correct 3D glasses,” continues Baden, “We collaborated with industry partners and utilized the DreamWorks facility for testing. For Oakley 3D Gascan, we achieved unparalleled visual clarity while extending the wearer’s peripheral viewing angle and providing truer alignment of 3D images. This is a technological breakthrough that sets a new standard for 3D.” Read the entire press release below:

OAKLEY RELEASES WORLD’S FIRST OPTICALLY CORRECT 3D GLASSES

New Oakley 3D Gascan® Offers Superior 3D Performance, Clarity and Comfort

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., November 8, 2010 – Oakley, Inc. today announced the release of the world’s first optically correct 3D glasses, Oakley 3D Gascan®. Utilizing the company’s proprietary HDO-3D™ technologies, these premium glasses are engineered for unrivaled 3D performance, superior visual clarity and signature Oakley comfort. Oakley 3D Gascan will both complement and optimize the technology used in the majority of 3D movie theaters around the world.

“This is a landmark moment in 3D entertainment,” said Oakley CEO Colin Baden. “We began with a single goal: to set the standard for optical performance in 3D. No one has ever engineered optically correct 3D glasses. We collaborated with industry partners and utilized the DreamWorks facility for testing. For Oakley 3D Gascan, we achieved unparalleled visual clarity while extending the wearer’s peripheral viewing angle and providing truer alignment of 3D images. This is a technological breakthrough that sets a new standard for 3D,” Baden concluded.

It should be noted that “optically correct” does not refer to prescription correction. Conventional non-prescription lenses that are designed and manufactured with inferior technologies may cause visual distortion due to deficiencies including refractive power, optical astigmatism and prismatic power. A variant of the company’s High Definition Optics® (HDO®), Oakley HDO-3D technology addresses these deficiencies, allowing the company to offer the first optically correct 3D glasses on Earth.

With HDO-3D, Oakley 3D lenses virtually eliminate the ghosting or “crosstalk” between images that reach each eye from one moment to the next, a potential problem with inferior 3D glasses. Lens curvature is another issue with conventional 3D glasses. Greater curvature around the eyes provides a wider field of view, but without highly precise optics, even a mild curve can cause visual distortion.

Oakley technology maintains optical clarity so the wearer can enjoy a wide field of sharp vision. The curvature of Oakley 3D lenses has the added benefit of minimizing distractive glare.

This premier release of Oakley 3D Eyewear is a special rendition of a popular Oakley frame design. Oakley 3D Gascan will be released this month in two optional frame finishes: Polished Black and Polished White. The new 3D glasses will be available for U.S. $120 at select Sunglass Hut locations, Oakley Stores, www.Oakley.com and www.Zappos.com.

Oakley 3D Gascan is designed with a proprietary Three-Point Fit to retain the lenses in precise optical alignment. The fit optimizes comfort by eliminating the unbalanced pressure points common with ordinary frames. Oakley’s durable yet lightweight frame makes contact only at the sides of the head and bridge of the nose, and it does not hook the ears like conventional frames made with curved earstems.

Oakley 3D lenses were developed to deliver a prime entertainment experience in cinemas that utilize passive polarization, the technology found in most 3D theaters. Oakley is also pursuing partnerships with manufacturers of home 3D systems that utilize passive polarization technology. This will allow consumers to use the same glasses for home and cinema 3D entertainment.

Oakley 3D glasses are optimized for indoor cinema application and are not intended for outdoor use. Due to their transmission profile (light and UV), glasses utilizing 3D polarization technology are not ideal for normal daily outdoor use and will not provide the same level of protection as sunglasses.

Today we review a tiny yet quite powerful speaker by the name of JAMBOX, discuss What Zuckerberg Never Said About the iPad, and review the lovely Acer Aspire 8943G. Then there’s a hands on of the LG Optimus One and we toss a Motorola Defy in the pool with all the duckies and what looks to be that same pool cleaner they had in Paranormal Activity 2. Scary. Calvin Klein designs a set of 3D sunglasses and AT&T attack T-Mobile’s 4G network claims. It’s a fight!

ck Calvin Klein Eyewear Announces 3D Sunglasses

With Marchon3D™ Patent-pending 3D technology with RealD certification

MELVILLE, N.Y., Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — ck Calvin Klein Eyewear has partnered with Marchon3D™ to infuse its patent-pending 3D lens technology into the designer eyewear sector.

The patent-pending M3D lens technology is the only curved 3D lens on the market that is RealD certified. The curved lens, matching the contour of the eye, improves and maximizes a consumer’s 3D viewing experience, allowing for a greater image immersion. The photocromic lens technology allows consumers to wear their glasses indoors and outdoors.

“With Marchon3D’s M3D technology and ck Calvin Klein Eyewear’s sleek, fashion-forward design, we are providing consumers the best 3D-enabled sunglass on the market,” said Claudio Gottardi, President of Marchon and CEO of Marchon International. “Having infused technology and fashion only raises the bar in the 3D eyewear field and Marchon is excited and proud to lead the industry.”

The ck3D sunglasses will be offered in three men’s and three women’s styles, each providing:
* M3D patent-pending circular-polarized lens technology to provide the best possible 3D viewing experience
* Photocromic capability, transitioning from indoor 3D glasses to outdoor UVA/UVB/UVC protected sunglasses
* RealD certified

The ck Calvin Klein eyewear, part of the M3D collection, will be available December 2010 with the retail price of $180*.

*ck3D sunglasses are not to be confused with other 3D products on the market, which are not 3D sunglasses.

Marchon3D™ was launched in July 2010, after Marchon Eyewear acquired patent pending 3D technology assets from MicroVision Optical. Marchon also signed a global licensing agreement with RealD Inc., the leading provider of 3D technology for cinema, consumer electronics and professional applications, to use the RealD brand for sales of Marchon3D™ eyewear. Through the terms of the global licensing agreement, Marchon3D™ will distribute its RealD certified 3D glasses in cinemas, retail locations, e-commerce sites and through electronic equipment manufacturers worldwide.

While the world of fashion has different outlets, using technology to make things happen hasn’t gotten the attention that many designers would like. At least, not yet. But, when you start looking at the experimental fashion out there, especially from a Dutch designer by the name of Anouk Wipprecht, you’ve got to kind of wonder why it isn’t getting more attention.

The Pseudomorph Dress, which is part of the Pseudomorphs line-up, makes use of moving liquids to literally “paint” a dress, while it’s already being worn. Wipprecht uses a simple, white dress made from felt, and then a collection of electronic equipment (some of which is re-purposed medical supplies), and then puts it all together to work with the custom-made neck brace. He then connects a series of tubes to the neck brace, and then leads them down to the wearer’s back, where a pack will hold the color chosen to paint the individual dress.

You pump your color of choice into the pack, and then using some pneumatic valves, send the liquid from the back and into the tubes, where it will drip down through the tips, and out onto the dress. The idea is that every design will be different, as there is now pre-chosen pattern to have the colors follow. It’s a new idea, and one that hasn’t been done before, apparently, so we’ll have to see if the idea actually leads to something. Check out the video below to see it in action.

If the pockets full of gadgets and the tendency to read SlashGear when you should be working (hey your boss is coming!) don’t signal the fact that you are a geek, either one of these belts will. Geek fashion often has to do with things that we loathe, fear, and hate all at the same time, like someone asking you to fix their computer for free.

The BSOD belt may be the perfect accessory for the geek who works tech support at the office. The belt is one of those braided canvas types that uses friction to stay buckled. The buckle is festooned with the BSOD. The only thing I remember about this type of belt from wearing them before I could make my own decision was that they either fell off for no reason or wouldn’t release until seconds before you wet yourself.

If the BSOD is inviting disaster a bit too much for your tastes, you can get the Pong belt buckle showing the screen from the coolest game to ever be boring. I wonder when the “All your base are belong to us” version ships. You can pick up either of these belts for $15. Just be sure you have a knife with you in case of a urinary emergency and the belt won’t cooperate.

Is that a CAPS lock across your pocket, or are you just pleased to see me? The puns may be awful, but Zack Hoeken’s keyboard pants are just plain awesome. Seemingly crafted from an existing fabric keyboard that’s been split across the legs, they’re both geekily fashionable and fashionably usable.

Well, half of them are. Unfortunately only one half of the keyboard works – we’re assuming the other half was a sacrifice in the cutting process – but, as Zach says, it’s still enough to play Tetris on, and how many people reading this can say the same about their own pants?

Is there a market for washable QWERTY trousers for the geek-on-the-go? Perhaps not, but with them you at least have an excuse for fondling your thighs while on public transport. Instructions for making your own keyboard pants here.

Why do we want to be able to play music from everything? From pillows and pants to personal massagers, we seem to have just about everything. But what would all these devices be without a MP3 playing belt buckle? After all cowboys don’t have much to play with in terms of listening to music.

From a distance people might think you won a rodeo, but given a closer look they will realize you just enjoy listening to music. It begs the question, what were the guys over at SparkFun thinking? Are they sitting around in a room trying to figure out the most ridiculous place to put an MP3 player?

Maybe if they decide to take it a bit further we will see accelerometer-based hip thrusting controls. One shake to the left for reverse, to the left for fast-forward, forwards for pause and play, and I don’t even want to think about the power movement. You wont be finding this in the store anytime soon, instead you’ll have to make it with parts and the circuit schematic and source code from SparkFun.

Not the 24k Karat gold you are expecting, that would be too much of an attraction for a portable home cinema goggles. Carl Zeiss has updated its Cinemizer mobile eyewear with Gold version for design-oriented and fashion-conscious people. Only 500 units of the Limited Edition golden glass, branded as the Cinemizer Gold will come to the market.

The German Optic specialist claimed its Cinemizer is the only video simulated eyewear tested to generate a real movie feeling. The displays are sharply focused and can be perfectly tailored to the wearer with adjustable eyepieces, diopter and replaceable nose pads.

As for video size, the Cinemizer can simulate up to 45-inch diagonal screen at a distance of 78-inch from a compatible Ipod and mobile devices. As a limited release with 500 of the extravagant models made available, and comparable to the limited edition of the Rolex Submariner from Dr. No; we don’t expect it to be affordable. But the manufacturer said unlike the Rolex, the gold Cinemizer is relatively inexpensive, only cost you 369 euros ($480) at selected dealers. If gold is not your thing, it’s always a silver and black finish.

Put on your best outfit and get ready for bling themed party, and take along Olympus’s limited edition Stylus 1040 Crystal digicam to capture the cherished memories. Olympus has stamped its Stylus 1040 with limited feature to capture beauty from the glittering world of fashion with 98 Swarovski crystals on the sliding lens barrier. PS- sexy model not included.

The Jeweled Olympus Stylus 1040 features a 10mp image sensor, completes with a 3x optical zoom (38-114mm 35mm equiv.), VGA 30fps video capture, digital image stabilization and a 2.7-inch HyperCrystal LCD screen. The camera uses company’s TruePic III image processor, and has face-detection autofocus and autoexposure to provide Intelligent Auto mode detecting the five most commonly used scenes and adjusts settings, focus and exposure automatically. Honestly, do we really care about the technicalities? Lets hope the blings stick, it would be a shame if crystals stuck on the sliding lens cover.

The special edition of Olympus 1040 Crystal will be selling at £175 ($300) and available from the end of October 2009 in limited quantities.

If you have $1000 to spare, I know just the thing to put the finishing touch on your Halloween costume. Yes, I know Halloween is over two months away, but if you’re going to sport Cybertek Wings on the Hallowed Eve, you had better plan ahead.

These wings strap onto your back and are made of carbon fiber and extruded aluminum. They’re powered by air pressure and they can expand and retract seven times before needing to be recharged for between 5-10 minutes. The wingtips are affixed with LEDs that glow blue each time the wings extend.

The wingtips are also customizable to a color of your choosing. Now, this a pretty cool gadget and all, but useless just the same. In fact, I can think of no practical use for mechanical wings. Perhaps that’s the point?

In case you’ve forgotten in the long months without any of these type accessories, I have a serious addiction to Etsy. My favorites list is about a mile long. Well now I have a new favorite product, and a seller as well.

The creator of this bag not only creates this one, but an Umbrella Corp bag, a Boot Goomba bag and a Mario Kart one. If the blue one is a little too over the top for you, the Resident Evil Bag looks cool and is plain enough that only gamers will understand its meaning.

Instead they blend in well with the oversized purses that have become so popular.

The line has several different options, from the overly chic to the more relaxed styles, for those that don’t really fit with the faux croc leather bags. The best part is the security that comes with having one of these bags.

Each one has a tracker ID tag, so if you lose it or it’s taken you can easily find it again. The bags start at around $300 and go up from there. Luckily they have a line for both the UK and the US as well as other parts of the world. Their bags will fit both 13” and 15” laptops.

Although biking saves money, all the traffic and people in a rush can be dangerous and this sweater lets drivers know which direction you are going

I have to admit, I moved to a small city and the traffic conditions tend to be a bit congested and on the hazardous side. Which means, I really don’t feel like going out on a bike into a bunch of traffic. The tutorial on Instructables teaches you how to put some LED lights into your sweater, that also includes a brief video.

The way to turn on the signals are the buttons which are mounted on the inside of the wrists. You have to hit the button to turn them on as well as off and she suggests turning them both on for any night riding you might do.

We’ve all seen the oversized purses, so they have taken advantage of that and made a laptop bag that looks exactly like that

The bag is a stylish alternative to the cookie cutter boring bags that still seem to be in every Best Buy and Staples around. It also has a detachable phone and PDA pocket that comes housed with a magnet.

The bag will fit up to 15.4” laptops and has little metal feet on the bottom to protect it from dirt and being scraped on the ground. It is being sold for $499.

If you’re on the lookout for an environmentally friendly laptop bag this one is made out of recycled materials that have been put together to create the bag that is seen here. Although it is environmentally friendly, that small fashionable bone in my body feels the need to point out that it’s a bit on the ugly side. Since when does recycled laptop bag mean they don’t have to try to make it aesthetically appealing?

They don’t mention that products may vary depending on materials, but I can’t see them buying similar trash in bulk. I really hope they vary, the mosquito on the front weirds me out, I tend to be overly girly about bugs though (meaning I hate them).

The bag has heavy duty buckles and zippers and padding for your laptop and gadgets but is a lightweight design. It will fit laptops up to 17” and is being sold for $89.95.

Alright, so they have several different colors and designs for both male and female, so they get a few points for that. The still slapped a low pocket on the shirt and just attached earbuds to it. Frankly, you’d probably be better off with a white undershirt with a pocket on your chest.

Then again, that wouldn’t be nearly as cool, you have to have the low pocket, high pockets, that’s just grungy. The t-shirt is made out of organic cotton and bamboo, so it is at least is a bit more environmentally friendly. The tee is being sold for $70 dollars, yes, for a novelty pocket you get that price tag. The wiring can be removed when it needs to be machine washed.

Well here is one slightly more fashionable gem, that allows for you to charge up your little gadgets on the go. Even when it isn’t in direct sunlight it has a battery it can run off of.

The bag was designed by Ennio Capasa, who happens to feature it on one of those designer sites that makes you want to rip your hair out. Excessively busy, yet with minimal information.

Unfortunately they don’t mention any word on pricing or availability. However, many of those sites have an area in which you can contact for pricing and more information.

I mean if you really are working to get the public to use solar power more, you need to make it cost efficient, attractive, and something the general public could see themselves using. Okay, this product attempts to pull out lacy details, making it almost attractive, but it comes up short in several other areas.

First of all, it’s solar powered lingerie. Solar power works by gathering energy, via the sun, meaning the panel has to be able to be in direct sunlight. It just ends up coming off as a wormy guy trying to get women to walk around in their bra.

Whether or not that is the actual case is unknown, but it does seem more than a little suspicious. Either way Triumph has successfully caused a bit of a buzz throughout the net and even mocking publicity is still publicity.

Nothing bright pink or ridiculous, just showing your geeky pride in all of your gaming consoles. Well, almost all of them, one distinct one that is missing is the poor overlooked Playstation.

At least it features a few classic controllers and not just the new. Of course, there is a guitar hero controller thrown in. Also no shocker that it comes from a vendor on Etsy and is currently being sold for $24.99.

Finally, a designer with a bit of sense and personal motivation to create a product with practical uses. Tim Dubitsky didn’t just create this to look pretty in his portfolio, no he actually created it for his nephew.

He wanted his nephew to be able to listen to his music and safely walk to school. Which makes sense, a kid walking around with earbuds in isn’t going to be able to hear what’s going on around him.

Sadly this is still a concept, but hopefully someone will pick it up and release it to the general public. If it ever did, I’m sure several teenagers would be happy to snag it, judging from the popularity of having speakers on all kinds of accessories.

Edit: Tim has been in touch to confirm that the hood.e has actually gone into production. It’ll be available from his site on May 9th priced at $160 plus shipping & tax, with a custom monogram costing $30 extra.

Its been a little while since a new Guitar Hero Shirt has popped up, if you haven’t snagged one in a while, now you have another to add to your collection or wish list. This one has a much more hardcore look to it as opposed to just the regular guitar on your tee.

Although the Guitar Hero controller isn’t the controller that is typically found sticking out of a TV it still makes you seem much more passionate about your rocking out. This t-shirt just looks way cooler than the reality, which is typically a small Wii controller as opposed to a guitar.

Thankfully this t-shirt is not only available in men’s sizes but women’s as well. Which is a trend that I’m glad is growing more and more. I’ve noticed several geek sites have gotten a better collection of women’s tees. The t-shirt for both women and men is being sold for $19.95.

On one side is the Wiimote and the other features the Nunchuck. These would be especially nice for any gamers getting married in a traditional tux that couldn’t con their bride into a gaming themed wedding cake.

Since these are made of sterling silver they are slightly more expensive. They are currently being sold for $150, and are being sold from the same place as the gaming cufflinks mentioned before.

USB drives have become a gadget that some of us can’t live without, even for a few moments in the day. Which has spawned a bit of USB jewelry, that is typically way too over the top and frankly, a bit cheesy. However, two designers have teamed up to create a few attractive and understated bits of USB jewelry.

The entire line is limited edition and there is absolutely no info on availability or pricing. The jewelry keeps it fairly simple, some are adorned with a few understated gems, but nothing too gaudy. The nice thing is that the line offers things for both sexes. The men have cuff links as well as a masculine bracelet. The women a couple different bracelets and necklaces and for both there is also a keychain.

The line was created by an industrial designer Tonia Welter and a jewelry designer Julia Reyman. All of the items are made of sterling silver but are available in other materials such as gold and platinum. They can also be engraved and have gemstones added. Hopefully sometime soon they will update their site to give a bit more information.

I am not entirely sure how this thing works, but apparently the gist of it is soap-less dish washing. Somehow it uses sonic waves of water to remove even the deepest particles of dirt without the slightest amount of soap necessary.

Word is the little record player thing, which is coincidentally what I thought this was at first glance, shoots water out and an alarming rate, a sonic rate if you will, and cleans stuff. I have no idea how well this little bugger actually works, but I do know, that as far as dish washers go, this is by far one of the best looking ones I’ve seen that wasn’t human.

The only downside I could see is that depending on the number of dishes you are doing at a time, this could be a real water waster, and the other is that if it sprays water hard enough to clean dishes without soap, it could probably quite easily hurt someone. Lastly, most machines I know of capable at pushing water out at rates fast enough to clean things are really loud, and that’s highly unattractive.

Whether or not bright red lips on the front is your style, having a purse that is custom made around your gadgets would be nice for a change. Not only does it list areas for the common gadgets like cellphones and MP3 players but even for the Nintendo DS and the PSP.

It also has an area for cables and all those other cords that are more difficult to find a spot for. The bag is polyester with faux leather trim and soft poly-cotton velvet lining. It is being sold for a very affordable $24.95.

So first it was those new notebooks I told you about the other day, the Jisus ones, and now the guy is cranking out a very fashionable cell phone watch. The WM2 is due out on April 14th and boasts a 1.3-inch 260k color touchscreen.

Other features of this watch include Stereo Bluetooth and 1GB of storage for MP3 or MP4 files. You’ll also get about 5 hours of talk time or 240 hours of standby (regular watch) time.

The biggest downside of this watch is the $471 price tag. Then there is the fact that this guy or company has come out of the blue, announced two fairly cool products, with this watch only being shown in shiny concept drawing stages, and has yet to have a product actually released. I’m sorry but this many cool products being announced this quickly throws up the “Fishy” flag in my brain. However, if this watch/cell phone actually does come out and it really does look as cool as the picture and it works in the US, It would definitely be worth the asking price.

This is the successor to the Cube 2 and will hopefully have a better user interface as that was one of CNet’s main complaints of the Cube 2. It still has the OLED screen, FM Tuner, and 2GB of storage space.

This player also has support for MP3 and WMA formats which makes it PlaysForSure compatible. Other than the relatively low storage capacity, possibly difficult to navigate UI, there is the $99 price that you’ll have to get over.

However, this may be one of the few MP3 players that you wouldn’t look like a tool with it dangling from your neck. So if you are female this could be as much a fashion accessory as a place to store some music, it will be out May 1st.
