Apple’s FaceTime Not Available in the UAE

When we first reported about Apple's FaceTime not finding its way to some Middle Eastern locations, there was certainly some speculation about the reasoning. There were some who believed that it was simply an advertising switch on Apple's part, and nothing more. But, it's now been confirmed that FaceTime will not be a supported feature on the iPhone 4 when it launches in the UAE.

iPad Coming in 7-Inch Version, Bringing Two Cameras Along With it in 2011

A new report from Rodman & Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar claims that Apple is currently working on a smaller, camera-featuring iPad, which is set to debut some time in the early part of 2011. Annual refreshes for Apple-based technology isn't a new thing, so everyone is already expecting Apple to announce a new iPad next year, but these new claims make it sound like Apple is indeed taking a look at the competition, and readying their hardware to reflect that.

At the announcement of the new iPod Touch from Apple, Steve Jobs made plenty of folks out there happy with the revelation that the phone-less iPhone would feature FaceTime -- the video calling function that was made famous by the iPhone 4. Considering FaceTime doesn't need 3G, and in fact (officially) requires WiFi access to work, the iPod Touch's ability to do the same thing made perfect sense. But, how would you get notified of incoming FaceTime calls? How about a vibrating motor?

New iPod Touch Won’t Have 5MP Camera, 3.2MP Instead

Yesterday, we brought you two different reports about the next member of the iPod Touch lineage. Rumors were heating up that the new device, which is supposed to be revealed this September, would feature a 5MP camera on the back, along with other hit features like FaceTime capability (thanks to a front-facing camera), and HD video recording. But today marks a different direction for the rumors. Backwards.
