Fable II has grown to be the best-selling Role Playing Game (RPG) on the Xbox 360 (was that really a huge endeavor?), but Peter Molyneux and his Lionhead Studios are not going to rest on their laurels. They're hoping that all the Fable fans out there are ready for more, or at least will be by the holiday season 2010, because the next installment of the critically-acclaimed series is headed to store shelves next year. And Lionhead has a few changes coming.

Back in June last year, SlashGear was invited to spend time with animation studio DreamWorks and see the work they and HP had done on Kung Fu Panda.  At the time, it was difficult to imagine a more complex and processor-intensive setup, but DreamWorks have managed to one-up themselves in 2009 with Monsters vs. Aliens.  Set to hit theaters across America this weekend, Monsters vs. Aliens is the first full-length production from the team in 3D.  SlashGear was invited back to find out exactly what’s involved in making 50ft monsters leap out of the screen.

I just got word yesterday that in this week’s DLC for Rock Band we’ll be seeing Zero from the Smashing Pumpkins. I’ve been waiting around to hear this news for a very long time. Sure, I’m a huge Pumpkins fan, but that’s not why. I’ve known about this particular song being being included in the game since I visited Harmonix last November. As a special weekend treat, I give you the first ever gameplay video of Zero for Rock Band after the jump.
