It appears that the industry supply chain behind the HTC smartphone lineup has been vocal about the disappointment felt by the company at slow sales of the HTC One series. According to trusted sources speaking with MyDrivers, its not long now before the entire HTC line of smartphones will be discounted right from the source. Apple denied emergency HTC handset ban

It wasn’t that long ago that Apple scored an injunction against the HTC One X and the EVO 4G LTE in the United States. The handsets were eventually let into the country once HTC proved the phones were no longer infringing Apple’s patent. Cupertino cried foul, saying that HTC continued to infringe the menu related patent on 29 devices. The company called on the ITC to issue an emergency ban, a request which has now been denied. If you’ve been worried about not being able to get your hands on an AT&T HTC One X or an EVO 4G LTE, worry no more. HTC says that the customs ban has been lifted now that the affected handsets have been found to be free of patent infringement. Are you feeling the squeeze yet? The AT&T One X and EVO 4G LTE are facing stock shortages in the United States thanks to a block at customs ordered by the ITC back in December. HTC was found to infringe on one of Apple’s patents relating to context menus used when select phone numbers or email addresses. Best Buy may have jumped the gun a little in throwing up a release date for the HTC EVO 4G LTE. The company has now sent out emails to customers saying that the phone has been delayed, with no new date given so far. It comes after it was revealed that the HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE face a customs block, preventing the phones from being sold in the United States until they’ve been cleared of patent infringement.
