Lenovo are preparing to release their second-generation netbook, the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2, which will include integrated 3G but lose the ExpressCard slot that helped differentiate its predecessor.  According to the IdeaPad S10-2’s user manual, which was prematurely posted to the company’s support site, the netbook will still use Intel’s Atom processor.

htc xv6175A render of the HTC XV6175 A has emerged, prior to its Verizon branding.  The QWERTY handset is particularly interesting because it’s believed to incorporate both CDMA and GSM connectivity.  The GSM Global Certification Forum have already confirmed that the XV6175 has quadband GSM support, but no UMTS/HSPA.

Given that Verizon have an EVDO Rev.A network, not an HSDPA/HSUPA one, that’s no great hardship, and we’d expect to see the high-speed CDMA data connection in there too (though obviously of no interest to the GCF).  The hope is that this comes through the pipe as a Verizon World Phone – a handset which can be used to make calls and – albeit slowly – access data when outside the US.

When we caught up with Chinese MID manufacturer Routon at CES back in January, they were looking for distributors for their P760 MID.  Now the company has another touchscreen MID on offer, the Routon P730, which keeps the 4.8-inch touchscreen of the P760 but drops the hardware keypad.  Also on offer now is Android support.

cricket motorola evoke qa4 3 168x480It doesn’t exactly match up to the deluge of AT&T devices announced earlier today, but Cricket Wireless and Motorola have unveiled their latest CDMA device, the Motorola Evoke QA4.  Looking a little like both the iPhone 3G and HTC’s Touch, the QA4 has a 2.8-inch 240 x 400 touchscreen, slide-out numeric keypad and EVDO Rev.A.

There’s also Bluetooth (with wireless stereo support), 256MB of internal storage and a microSD slot.  The Evoke QA4 has a full HTML browser that works in both landscape and portrait orientations; Motorola have fitted an accelerometer to switch between the two, and there’s an on-screen QWERTY keyboard which can be called up in landscape orientation.

Take the keyboard of the BlackBerry Bold and the slinky chassis of the BlackBerry Curve, mingle them together with a little CDMA connectivity, and you’ll apparently end up with this: the RIM BlackBerry 9630 Niagara.  Seen here in real photos for the first time, this is apparently no photoshop..
