epson logoThe saga of the LCD price fixing scandal still isn’t over despite the fact that some of the world’s largest makers of LCDs have pled guilty and been fined. Some of the executives involved in the case have been sentenced to jail time. So far, LG Displays, Sharp, Chunghwa Picture Tubes, and Hitachi Displays have all pled guilty in the scheme.

Epson revealed a brand new pair of printers today called the WorkForce 610 and 1100 and these devices include Wi-Fi, wired networking and meet Energy Star standards by having a recyclable frame.

Epson announced a new printer in their Stylus Photo line today called the PX650 all-in-one. This printer is targeted toward digital photographers and doesn’t even require a PC to function.

Epson announced their Ensemble HD home cinema systems will be getting an update today. Specifically, the systems will now feature 3LCD projectors and receive new monikers:  the PowerLite Home Cinema 6100 and the Home Cinema 6500 UB.

It’s saying a lot for the appeal of Epson’s digital rangefinder cameras – and for the love photo-pros have for them – that Epson don’t need to make all too many tweaks to their R-D1x to keep it appealing.  This latest incarnation has a new 2.5-inch LCD, SDHC support up to 32GB and the latest version of Epson’s EDiART image processing system, together with an optional hand-grip, but the core specs remain the same.

Epson Japan have announced a new color version of their Endeavor Na01 mini netbook.  The Na01, which first launched back in November, is now available in both white and black, rather than merely the original black.  Specifications remain unchanged from the black Endeavor Na01 mini, meaning Intel’s N270 1.6GHz Atom processor, 945GSE graphics chipset and a 10.2-inch LCD running at 1024 x 600 resolution.
