Welcome to Wednesday evening everyone. Today was RIM's big day, as it rebranded itself as BlackBerry and launched the latest version of its mobile OS, BlackBerry 10. We were there at the launch event to take it all in and get some hands-on time with the new handsets the company has introduced, and you can catch all of the news from the show in our BlackBerry 10 event wrap-up. Electronic Arts Q3 2013 report sees revenue on the decline

Like a number of other companies, Electronic Arts is delivering quarterly financial results today. The report we're seeing shows the results for EA's fiscal Q3 2013, and things could be a bit better for the company. The company is reporting a non-GAAP revenue of $1.18 billion, which came in below the company's guidance of $1.25 billion to $1.35 billion and was down from the year-ago quarter's revenue of $1.65 billion.

Madden NFL 13 predicts Baltimore Ravens as Super Bowl XLVII champions

Every year, the Madden NFL video game conducts a simulation between the two teams fighting for the Super Bowl crown. This year it's the Baltimore Ravens matched up against the San Francisco 49ers. In the game's simulated matchup, the Baltimore Ravens won 27-24. And if you think it's merely just a simulation and a prediction, take note that this annual Madden simulation has correctly predicted the Super Bowl winner seven out of the last nine Super Bowls.

Crysis 3 multiplayer beta kicks off next week

Crysis 3 won't be arriving in North America until February 19, but you can check out the game's multiplayer mode a few weeks early thanks to a freshly-announced open beta. Today Crytek revealed this open beta, saying that it will go live on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on January 29. That happens to be next Tuesday, so Crysis fanatics don't have much longer to wait until they can get some hands-on time with the game's multiplayer.

SimCity four-day beta starts January 25

While SimCity won't officially release until March, it turns out that eager gamers who may not be able to wait that long will be able to play a little bit of the new game later this month. EA Games and Maxis have announced that they'll be hosting a beta throughout the weekend starting on January 25 and ending on January 28.

Firemonkey has been teasing Real Racing 3 since August, so we've already seen a bit of what the racing simulator sequel will offer, but in the latest Developer Diary video from Firemonkey, the developers discuss some of the new tracks in the game, including actual famous tracks that will be available, as well as new made-up tracks based in real locations around the world.

Monster MVP Carbon headset hands-on

Today at CES, Monster announced a partnership with EA Sports and revealed the MVP Carbon headset. We ended up getting our hands on the new product at Monster's booth at Pepcom, and got a close up look of the new design. The headset features 5.1 channel surround sound processing that Monster refers to as HDHS, or "High Definition Headphone Surround."

EA gives weapons manufacturers the boot from Warfighter website

Electronic Arts made waves throughout the gaming community when it started showcasing real-world weapons in marketing for Medal of Honor: Warfighter, but today the publisher is beginning to distance itself from its relationship with arms makers. Originally, the Medal of Honor: Warfighter website displayed the logos of various arms manufacturers along with links their products, allowing players to browse guns, knives, and other combat gear. While those logos are still present on the Warfighter website, the links have been removed.
