Madden NFL 13 predicts Baltimore Ravens as Super Bowl XLVII champions

Every year, the Madden NFL video game conducts a simulation between the two teams fighting for the Super Bowl crown. This year it's the Baltimore Ravens matched up against the San Francisco 49ers. In the game's simulated matchup, the Baltimore Ravens won 27-24. And if you think it's merely just a simulation and a prediction, take note that this annual Madden simulation has correctly predicted the Super Bowl winner seven out of the last nine Super Bowls. Crysis 3 multiplayer beta kicks off next week

Crysis 3 won't be arriving in North America until February 19, but you can check out the game's multiplayer mode a few weeks early thanks to a freshly-announced open beta. Today Crytek revealed this open beta, saying that it will go live on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on January 29. That happens to be next Tuesday, so Crysis fanatics don't have much longer to wait until they can get some hands-on time with the game's multiplayer. Read The Full Story

SimCity four-day beta starts January 25

While SimCity won't officially release until March, it turns out that eager gamers who may not be able to wait that long will be able to play a little bit of the new game later this month. Monster MVP Carbon headset hands-on

Today at CES, Monster announced a partnership with EA Sports and revealed the MVP Carbon headset. We ended up getting our hands on the new product at Monster's booth at Pepcom, and got a close up look of the new design. EA gives weapons manufacturers the boot from Warfighter website

Electronic Arts made waves throughout the gaming community when it started showcasing real-world weapons in marketing for Medal of Honor: Warfighter, but today the publisher is beginning to distance itself from its relationship with arms makers. Originally, the Medal of Honor: Warfighter website displayed the logos of various arms manufacturers along with links their products, allowing players to browse guns, knives, and other combat gear. Battlefield 3 End Game DLC first details revealed

Hot on the heels of Star Wars: The Old Republic's transition to free-to-play comes the announcement of the game's first expansions. Players have been waiting a long time for this first expansion, dubbed Rise of the Hutt Cartel, considering the game released in December 2011. Next Mass Effect game arrives late 2014 to mid-2015, BioWare says [UPDATE: It's fake]

We've officially known that BioWare is working on another Mass Effect game since studio co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk announced their departure, but so far details have been few and far between. Details are still pretty scarce, but we're finding out today that the game will ship in late-2014 at the earliest but possibly as late as mid-2015. That news comes from a GamerSyndrome interview with a BioWare employee, who remained anonymous until Eurogamer was told by EA that it was Mass Effect 3 producer Mike Gamble doing the talking.
