Don’t expect these buds to feel like the steel-and-gold beasts that the rest of the high-cost personal audio equipment world suggests means quality – instead you’ve got plastic and rubberized connections to keep you sweatproof and hearty while JayBird delivers the high-quality audio in any high-action situation.

The BlueBuds X feature PureSound, a white noise filter that removes the white noise generated by earbud headphones. This feature aims to stomp on the listener fatigue that commonly results from the white noise, producing a more enjoyable listening experience for longer periods of time. Meanwhile, the Signal Plus feature helps the audio remain stable via a “clear constant signal” to the accompanying Bluetooth player.

These little in-ear headphones feature approximately 8 hours of battery life, more than long enough for a week’s worth of workouts for most users. Of course, we don’t all have the same size skulls, so one-size-fits-all headphones more often than not don’t fit everyone. Luckily, the S11-FLEX HD headphones come with an adjustable inner strap that will help keep them secure. The outer band is also flexible, so if you need even more space after adjusting the inner band, you’re set there too.

These headphones connect wirelessly to your device through Bluetooth, and Motorola is saying that they can pick up a signal from up to 150 feet away. That’s quite a long range, all things considered, meaning that you can leave your device inside and still listen while you do yardwork, or get up and go to a different room without having to worry about losing your signal. Motorola is promising “better-than-wired sound” with these bad boys, but that will ultimately be for consumers to decide.

With the S11-FLEX HD headphones, you’re also getting one-touch EQ controls, volume controls, and a charge time that is ridiculously short: only 5 to 15 minutes. Not too bad, but if you want a pair, you’ve got a while yet to wait, as they won’t be available until October 28. Almost right off the bat, iFixit expresses doubt that the EarPods’ single-driver setup can offer quality to match other headphones that cost hundreds of dollars for just $29, like Apple claims. After running through the aesthetic changes Apple has made with this latest iteration, the iFixit crew gets to work pulling them apart, starting with the redesigned remote. On the inside, the remote isn’t too terribly different from the one found on the old earbuds – it still sports three buttons and a microphone – but iFixit points out that the sealing on this new remote is much better than the sealing on the old one, meaning that you don’t have to worry about water making your remote non-functional as often.

After the remote has been removed, it’s time to dig into the actual EarPods. Since they can’t be pulled apart, iFixit had to get in there with an exacto knife, something the team doesn’t suggest regular consumers do. Once inside, we’re greeted by a diaphragm, a voice coil, a magnet, and a cabinet, which make up the speakers. iFixit found that the diaphragm consists of “a paper cone and a polymer surround,” which is a first for Apple; normally, the diaphragm is all plastic. Despite the fact that these EarPods look quite different from the regular old earbuds on the outside, on the inside, they look pretty similar.

The image you see above is a shot comparing the new EarPods (bottom) to the first generation earbuds (middle) and the previous generation earbuds for iPhone (top), with iFixit stating that the biggest differences are the EarPods’ new design and the new paper cone. iFixit says that these do make some significant durability improvements over past versions, pointing once again to the better-protected remote and saying that the paper cones mean that you’re less likely to blow out your drivers. However, it’s important to keep in mind that repairing these guys is essentially out of the question, considering that they’re hard to get into and cheap enough that you’ll just want to buy a new pair if yours ever break.

The video you see below originally had sound, but a new version without any audio has since been uploaded in the original’s place. Luckily, MacRumors was able to translate the audio before that switch occurred. Apparently these new earphones are smaller than Apple’s traditional earbuds (though only slightly, judging by the comparison pictures), and it seems that they would fit the ear better than the older round shape. It isn’t exactly a secret that Apple’s earbuds weren’t the most comfortable things to wear, and indeed, Tinhte says that these new ones don’t hurt when put them in your ears.

Tinhte also says that each earpiece is made in such a way that it looks like it’s all one “fully integrated, single unit.” This means that these earphones might not come apart as easily, which should be welcomed change since the old earbuds could feel a little fragile at times. These buds take the many lessons SMS Audio has clearly learned over the years and pushes forward a well-tuned piece of hardware that certainly will not fail you in the long-lasting equipment department. The buds are both 11mm “professionally tuned” drivers which send out relatively clear sound, amped-up bass, and a well-rounded collection of highs and mids that will not have any average citizen in MP3-land feeling any less than satisfied unless they’re what they call an audiophile. For those of you who spend your whole day, start to finish, listening to and tuning audio products, it’s important to note that these earbuds are not really made for you.

Instead these phones are made to be adopted en-masse with a sound quality that is made to be powerful. This means, again, that the bass is punched up and that you’ll find the whole range just a bit more full of hard contrast, so to speak, when you compare these sound blasters to a pair of wooden earbuds like the thinksound ms01 Monitor Series we reviewed some weeks ago.

The speaker wire that connects these buds is fabulous – it’s flat and a bit rubbery so you’ll not have a whole lot of trouble with tangling, and if it does end up tangling with your other cords, you’ll know which is which. The bright and ultra-strong blue color here will have you standing out in the crowd. Whoever was responsible for the final color choices on the 50 Cent line from SMS Audio knew exactly what they were doing when they punched up the blues, that’s for sure.

You’ve got two simple ways to wear this earpiece, one of them being a hook which holds the piece down over your ear, another being a brand new clear ear tip which Plantronics lets us know is their newest concentration for getting this piece to stay in your ear with finesse. This little clear ear tip is extremely flexible and yet holds the earpiece in your ear securely as it fits comfortably right in the side of your head. The photo you see above shows how nice the piece looks and fits in the ear and on the head with just the ear tip in, no hook necessary.

In testing the device, I had no trouble going through the simple pairing operation required to connect to any and all Bluetooth devices I had on hand, be they the iPad, several Android handsets, or a notebook computer. To pair this device to any of your Bluetooth-capable devices, you’ve just to hold down the Call button for several seconds until the indicator light flashes red and white – you’ll be pair-ready from there.

The Call button on this device is unmistakable as it’s essentially the entire side of the hardware, it requiring just a series of taps and holds to activate any of its many numerous functions. For the most part, you’ll be using this device to make and take calls and conferences, and you will be satisfied by the quality on both ends. The little notches on the sides of the device are there for noise cancellation, and they certainly do work well – much better, in fact, than most of the budget-level Bluetooth earpieces we’ve ever laid eardrums on.

Speaking with people through the earpiece resulted in clear, nearly perfect quality on the other end, with exceptions being of course when you’re in intensely crowded areas. This sort of situation is always going to result in you not having the most fantastic voice quality unless you’re going for a much, much higher cost headset – at the price you’re paying for the M55, the quality is excellent.

This device has such fantastic battery life that you’ll more than likely not have to charge it more than once or twice a year. We’ve not gotten to hold on to the device and use it for more than a year quite yet, but according to Plantronics, this device’s new DeepSleep mode will have your headset into such a deep sleep that its using up next to no battery life at all when its not being used. This DeepSleep function is activated automatically if 90 minutes have passed since you last been in-range of a paired Bluetooth device. NOTE here that the photos we’ve got are of the pre-production model – the final model will look and function exactly the same or NEARLY exactly the same as this unit, so says Plantronics.

Another fabulous function you get with this device is voice activation in the form of being able to say “Answer” when you get a call on a paired smartphone device. This device can also pair with up to two smartphones in the same area at once, both of them then hooked up with this same voice-activated call-answering ability. The M55 comes with a free full year of Vocalyst Basic, this being a service which can give you voice email, news, weather, and reminders right to your ear, this service normally $2.49 a month or $24.99 a year with this headset. As a bit of a bonus, this service can automatically upload audio clips at your request just so long as you’re paired with an internet-connected device at the time – fun for everyone, without a doubt!

In our modern world of awesomely tiny technology, we can expect a bit more from our earbuds than we did all those years ago when the technology to put a speaker that small into one’s ear was invented. What we’ve got here is certainly not the highest-class earbud in the industry (custom-made ear-molded buds still hold that distinction) but they’re certainly up near the top for the wireless pre-made sets.

These buds have DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and what’s known as full duplex echo cancellation so you’ll have great noise cancellation on the whole – rare for headphones that don’t cover the ear. You’ve also got great sound regardless of the fact that you’re not physically connected to the source of the audio transmission. Bluetooth technology has gone a long way since 1.0, and here with the BackBeat Go we’ve got near-perfect sound quality on par with the upper half of the wired industry for sound quality.

The unit has the ability to connect to whatever Bluetooth device you’ve got in a snap – just hold down the side-sitting button on the control unit between the buds for a moment until you hear an upward-ringing set of beeps in the phones themselves. The device will then be discoverable and will pair without a hitch. From there that same controller can do a variety of functions including volume up and down, skip tracks in most basic audio apps, and there’s a perfectly fine-sounding microphone in there too so you can take calls or talk in a conference.

The unit is charged with microUSB via one of the two buds – right there in the back of its head. Charge the unit up fully and you’ll have a straight 4+ hours of listening time easily. The cord is short enough that you’re never ever going to get it tangled up – it’s a sort of flat rubbery cord so it’s also not going to slip away from you any time soon. It’s just long enough to sit under your chin or around the back of your head as well, whatever you like.

Apparently, Apple is ready to change its earbud design and is looking to build unibody earbuds using something called ultrasonic bonding. Apple’s big on unibody with its MacBooks using a unibody design and rumors pointing to the next iPhone using a unibody. A new patent application has surfaced called “Ultrasonically Welded Structures and Methods for Making the Same.” The application talks about how components can be welded together to form a seamless look.

This is more like a faux unibody in reality, because with the small size of earbuds and all the different components inside like cables, jacks, microphones, and speakers, I’m not sure you could build a set of earbuds with a true unibody. The patent app says that once complete, the process would create what appears to be a seamless unibody structure even though the earbuds could include two different component pieces that were welded together. The pieces will be combined in a way that could form a visible weld that would be later sanded and polished to appear one piece. That sounds so much more appealing design wise than the white plastic units we are used to seeing from Apple.

Spark in-ear Headphones, as they’re called, will cost you a cool $59.95, and before we go any further I can say this: they are worth it. These phones are made of metal and other high-quality materials that will not wear out with general use, they sound great, and they look great. They’ve got additional features that a person might look for in a pair of buds such as the one-button controller/microphone that sits down the side of one of the bud cords, and they’ve got replaceable rubber buds with several sizes right inside the box, so you’ll have the correct fit as you so choose it.

In the box you get three sets of buds that you can use: one small, one medium, and one large, and each of them are a basic egg/spherical shape (single flange, they call them.) You then get the earbuds themselves, and finally a lovely “Premium Leather” carrying case. This case is actually pretty nice and does encourage you to put your buds away in a nice non-tightly-wound sort of way so you don’t end up wrapping them around your smartphone – this can lead to deterioration of the hardware, just so you know, with whatever headphones or earbuds you might ever use.

Then sound quality goes like this: while these buds are made to work with devices such as Apple desktops and iPhone, iPod, and iPad for the one-button control, they work perfectly fine in whatever device you’ve got with a standard jack. That said, the Spark buds sound about a thousand percent better than the buds you’ll get with any smartphone’s no-name buds, and are certainly sounding better than, for example, the very comparable Beats by Dre. Though they also have a bit more Bass and a bit less Treble than they really ought to for the wide variety of music the average citizen listens to, they do sound more than quality enough to be worth the three $20 you’ll be shelling out to own them.

And for those of you waiting to hear how they can be “loud” visually, know this: color combinations include everything from Jet Black to Rally Blue – which is essentially a blue and red combo that Captain America would be proud of. Rose Pink is probably the brightest set of colors, complete with smoke-colored rubber buds, but it’s pretty clear to me that the War-Machine-like “Aluminum Silver” is the greatest of the set. I’ve not had this quality sound since I first set up my own pair of gigantic speakers to a record player from the 1980′s – there’s just something there that you can’t get anywhere else.

As far as the actual hardware in the buds besides the buds themselves, the whole setup is lightweight, the cords are PVC-free and “tangle resistant,” and you get a pair of Active Lifestyle Ear Hooks to keep these phones in your ears if you’re the type to have your head jamming around on a regular basis. If you’re in the gym quite often, you’ll also be glad to know that these buds are sweat-resistant.

This perfection doesn’t come cheap, of course, with the Street by 50 models chiming in at £580.00, that being something like $900 USD, while the Beats will be costing you a cool £549.00, that close enough $900 USD once again to make your nose bleed. Then there’s the older models, too – that’s right! This isn’t the first time a pair of Beats by Dre have been tricked out with crystals by this crew.

Then there’s a pair of Sennheisers in there, some Audio Technica headphones, and some Sony MDR over-ears as well. There’s even a pair of Beats in-ear earbuds! You can crystalize anything, folks, go for it!

In-use

The quality you’re getting here is top-notch, and since this isn’t the first version of these little beasts, you know good and well that V-Moda has once again further perfected the art. Your hearing will be protected by the Faders working to filter noise up to 12dB. They do not BLOCK the noise, they filter it – this meaning that your mids and your high-range audio is still there and still very clear, while the damaging low-end noises galore are plugged up. You can adjust the amount you filter by changing the bud size, also.

The versions you’ll get in the store come with a lovely little shell case, while these early versions show just the buds — you’ll know the 2012 versions from the older ones from the slight difference on the box face, the newer ones having a bright ORANGE splash around the “METAL” bit. The newest versions also come with detachable cords. Otherwise they’re the same fabulous sound-blocking masterpieces.

Verdict

These monsters are certainly worth what you pay for them. If you want throwaway plugs, go ahead and pick up a pack of them from your local grocery store. These plugs will stopper up the sound to the degree that you like and will do it in a fashionable way – so very lovely. Pick up the gunmetal versions (like we’ve got here) for ultimate anytime wearability.

What you’re going to experience here has been described by musician Pharrell Williams as “like legal drugs with no side effects” and been summed up by Zimmer as “an amazing immersive Soundtrack for your life.” Essentially it’s sounds all around you that you’re going to have to grab and touch without seeing. These little plugs sit in your ear all comfortable like complete with metal casings (none of that touching the innards of your ear, of course. The over-ear model features 40mm drivers with precision-wound copper voice coils and rare-earth neodymium magnets. One of the more interesting points Karnes lets us know is that the point at which deterioration of hearing in this high school age started in a real way to deteriorate was right around 2004. It’s no coincidence that this is the same year that the iPod was first released. Karnes goes on to note that because of the now-norm activities of digital music players, laptop video watching, video chatting, and the list goes on, the close monitoring of safety standards in earphones and earbuds should be much more of a priority than it is today – one thing Karnes notes that’s again alarming is that this unmonitored audio listening at unmonitored loudness exceed all too often the safety standards for even industrial sound levels.

To solve this problem, or at least take a swing at it, is a set of earbuds make specifically for children (though adults can wear them too,) which limit the volume output blasted through the speakers.

What this means is that no matter which device you’re plugging your earbuds into, you’ll be listening to the audio as the same listening level. This set of buds is an electrical device which does not affect the frequency response of any products that are currently on the market, still having a what Karnes describes as a great dynamic range, and superior noise isolating. There’s a triple flange, four different ear tips being available for a large range of ear sizes – AND if you want your whole ear filled, noise isolation means you’ll want to perhaps turn your volume DOWN because “you’re not competing with the outside world.”

No batteries are required, this component device again working with any device with audio output on the market today, and they’ll be shipping to US, UK, and Euro retailers on the 20th of October, 2011. This set of buds also works with an inline remote that allows you to control the music player you’re using on your device and to receive and make phonicalls if you’re using an iOS or BlackBerry powered handset. This track flipper also conveniently works with Android and Mac OSX devices such as the MacBook Pro (Spring 2011 edition) pictured above and below. The earbuds also feature what they’re calling FlexFit necks for the comfort of your ears.

First Impression

What I received here was a pair of the Blue/White earTones used in the ads you may have seen recently. Upon close inspection of the packaging I found that though the advertisements and store displays showed the buds to be without covering, they did indeed have some simple black lobe protection with a couple of backups sitting there waiting for me. This is good because, if you know me and my ears, you know I give earbuds tough judgement because my drums don’t take to them very well.

Sound Quality

Like most devices, and peripherals, if you take these buds by themselves, if you’re in a situation where you need some earbuds and you’ve got the choice between these and nothing, you’ll be satisfied unless you’ve got another option. These buds sound OK. They’re certainly not the greatest quality in the world, but they’re not the worst I’ve ever experienced. The quality in these earbuds, sadly enough, is not in the sound quality at all, but in the features they present beyond that. One of the big reasons behind this is the fact that they literally do not sit in the ear very well. This is what I’d call an old design where clearly the new design for earbuds, that one you see back in the last earbud review we did with the AUDEO PFE 022 + Mic Earbuds, that’s where the future is.

Comfort / Usability

These earbuds come with several little rubber coated features on them, the first of which is the two-cord capture piece that appears right after the two phone wires split. This is nicely made for what it is, with a little slit along one side so you have the option of doing without it. Then there’s the mic bit which also has the control button in it. The mic works reasonably well for a mid-range mic on a pair of earbuds, but don’t expect it to outdo the amount you payed for it.

The button on the other hand is pretty slick. Press it once to stop the music, press it again to play, and double-press quickly to skip to the next track. This same functionality works in most music players basic manufacturer-added music player in the same or very similar ways.

Verdict

These earbuds are mid-range. They’re not quite worth $40 if you have a choice between these and a pair of AUDEO earphones or Skullcandy, but should you be in an airport with the choice between these and a pair of plastic pieces of junk to purchase, your choice should certainly be these. They’ve got some cool features, you can get them in a variety of colors, and they’re promoted as anti-baterial, fighting off germs. They’re not quite as bright as they say they are, but they are bright.

The Bluetooth earbuds only have a wire connecting the two ear pieces but other than that, the headset is completely wireless for great freedom of movement. It comes with three sizes of ear tips and three sizes of secure fit ear cushions that also tout a unique proprietary honey comb design for an extra secure and comfortable fit. It boasts great sound performance that’s tuned to avoid listener fatigue during long workouts.

The JF3 Freedom also features a sweat-proof design along with a Lifetime Warranty Against Sweat and comes with a hard sell magnet sealed carrying case. The headset has been on sale without any announcements since April, but starting today will be offered with the new silicon sports ear cushions. The enhanced Freedom is available now through JayBird’s online store for $99 with free shipping. It will be available in retail stores by late July.

Lets talk about these gold-plated phones first, shall we? They’re the Signeo USA: SOUL by Ludacris SL300, and their called “high-definition, noise canceling headphones that combine sleek style with professional sound.” The reason you should be interested in this particular pair is that they cost $299 USD and feature gold-plated connectors. Fresh and wild! They’ve also got an over-the-ear design, advanced, breathable pad and ear cups, and have standard and iPhone detachable cords with in-line remote included. Also they come with a protective case door travel.

Next are the red and blues, the Signeo USA: SOUL by Ludacris SL100, “high -definition on-ear headphones deliver big sound with stylish urban aesthetics.” These also have a breathable headband pad, standard and iPhone detachable cords with in-line remote, and come with a case. And what’s this? They come with gold-plated connectors as well! These SL100 phones ring in at $149 USD.

The white over-ears are the Signeo USA: SOUL by Ludacris SL150 set, “High-definition on-ear headphones boast professional sound, distinct personal style” like the last set, the same specs are present. It seems that the difference between each of these sets is the aesthetic really, the industrial design shaping its way around your head. SL150s cost $199. Also yes, gold plated connectors!

Finally there’s a couple sets of earbuds, one named SL99 with a price of $99, the other called SL49 with a price of $69. Each of these has tangle-resistant cables, hard protective shell case for travel, and gold-plated connectors for seamless signal transfer.

The Danish designer of luxury electronic accessories, Bang & Olufsen are pushing out a stylish new headset for iPhones, iPads, and iPods. The EarSet 3i is a wired stereo headset with a built-in microphone and 4-pole mini jack. The ear bud style headset has a combination of brushed aluminum and soft-touch rubber.

Each piece of the EarSet 3i is very light weight at about 8 grams with a total weight of 23 grams including the 3.3-foot cord. The frequency range is light on bass at 50Hz to 20,000Hz. Although pricing has not been revealed, you can expect to pay more than $250—the cost of its predecessor, the Earset 3. It is available here

Hirotaka Matsui has taken the convenience of a zipper and attached it to the wires of your earbuds. You zip it up when you’re done and zip it down when you’re ready to listen to music. The wires look like they’re housed inside fabric along with the zipper. The earbuds themselves come with magnetic tips so that they’ll snap together when you’re not using them.

The design seems pretty solid and would definitely do away with the hassle of tangled wires. It could also be quite a fashion statement although care should be taken not to zip too quickly or get anything caught in the process.

The Mix-Style headphones are meant to express the same styles that you’d find in Tokyo, and express the same street style as Harajuku. They may not be the best sounding headphones out there, especially compared to some of the high-end models from major companies, but they certainly stand out in their aesthetic appeal, as they blend design and fashion in a unique manner.

Mix-Style headphones, and other styles like them, are certainly popular in Japan, so their appearance in other markets around the world is not surprising. HiFi Headphones will be selling 16 different color schemes of the headphones, and customers will be able to choose from over-the-ear designs, in-ear buds, or clip-on ‘phones. Exact pricing hasn’t been made available for the headphones in the United Kingdom, but in Europe they cost €55 for the over-the-ear design, €39 for the clip-on design, and €38 for the in-ear buds. They’ll go on sale on January 31st.

Sound Quality

Jam them into your ears, and you will hear everything you’d like. For bass, take the song “Black Smoke” by The Prodigy off their EP by the name of Lost Beats. As I write this review I’m in one of the most terrible places for sound quality on the whole, a window seat on a 757 airplane flight (from Orlando to Minneapolis, if you’d like to know,) and I’m still jamming out pretty hard. I can hear the THOOM of the bass, the knocking of the steel drums, the flip-flopping of the DJ’s ripped-up records, and yes, even the tiny beeps in the background.

Next up is the song “Honey” aka “Bonus Track – special ingredient” by Erykah Badu from the album New Amerykah Part One. In this track I’m able to hear a little bit more sharpness than I’d like – this wasn’t as noticeable on the Prodigy track since, well, that music is wacky sharp in the ears no matter what you do because that’s the idea with that type of music. Here where I’m expecting a softer end of each smack, there’s, again, a little more sharpness than I know I hear under ideal conditions. The bass is still superior to most buds I’ve tested.

Finally, an older track by the name of “Dope Hat” by everyone’s favorite 90′s weirdo Marylin Manson from his classic Portrait of an American Family. The buds perform very well with this stereo track, each bud clearly delivering the doinks and cracks and jams and even the back-and-forths (more than one of these made to make you dizzy when you’re listening to headphones)

*A back-and-forth is when the producer has taken an audio element and has moved it back and forth along the two speaker receptors where usually a single sound goes in one or both since moving sounds back and forth like this produces an uncomfortable barf-inducing effect. If you’ve got at least a high-middle quality set of earbuds like these, this effect sounds nice, reminding you that you’d be throwing up if you didn’t have as nice a set as these.

As each of these tracks is played, the fact that these are earbuds and not ear-covering headphones is quite apparent – why? Because, again, these buds are right now being tested in the heck-hole – about 10 feet away from a jet engine. That said, these are the NICEST pair of earbuds I’ve ever had the pleasure of being jammed in my ears. I can hear the jet, but I can ignore it and enjoy the music (or the movie, or whatever else I happen to be grabbing audio from here on this airplane.)

Mic

Works great, sounds clear. placed at exactly the right place along the cord that it’s at the mouth with both buds in the ears. Single button turns on/off reception, minimalistic approach allows you to know it’s there while a layman might not ever notice it. No complaints here.

Comfort and Feel

Feels good, man. This set of buds comes with three sets of rubbery plugs for what I at first thought were people who treated them harshly and needed replacements – nay! They are three different size sets of buds for different sized lobes. Well played, Audeo. Each set doesn’t have a gigantic amount of size difference from the next, but if you’ve got smaller holes in your ears, you shouldn’t have to worry, as all sizes will jam into smaller ears. If you’ve got problems often with earbuds because you’re just a gigantic person to begin with, probably just go ahead and steer clear of earbuds altogether – that’s my advice. These three sizes are for comfort more than they are to accommodate for large ranges in lobes.

I’ve got fickle ears, lobes and drums. Earbuds do not agree with me on a regular basis, and for the first few hundred years after earbuds were first thought up and sold commercially, I swore off of them because they gave me a major headache almost no matter what. Audeo proves here that the new age in comfort for haters like me has arrived. I brought these buds along on a weeklong trip here instead of a larger pair of headphones because I found them to be both comfortable and small enough to fit in my pocket – imagine that!

Wrap-Up

Good buds, man. The package is gorgeous and for the quality they promise, these are the buds to suggest to buds. Comfortable for headache havers, sound good next to a jet engine, and look and act well physically. Bottom line is that these are the buds I bring with me places. They’re no sound-canceling several-hundred-dollar headphones, but they don’t promise to be – great earbuds is what’s going on here.

Inside the UPS pack, inside the manilla envelope, aside the fact sheet, inside the box, and beyond the taped plastic package, THERE you will find your very own set of earbuds from AUDEO – the PFE 022 + Mic. Such a tiny little mini set of buds for such a ginormous set of packs. BUT take not that you’ll probably end up buying these in the store in which case the box is probably pretty much the minimum for such a nice pair of audio blasters.

Aside from the buds, you’ll find a tiny zip plastic package with 6 rubber earbud covers (3 sets) – a set of these will need to be applied to the main earbuds before you jam them in your ears. You’ll see there’s three user guides, each one in a different language, and a single quick-start guide. And that’s about it! Look for a full review of these sassy little buds in about a week and a half (a little further out than normal because of the quickly approaching holidays.) Hooray!

As far as features go, Munitio didn’t skimp just because of the small stature of the ‘phones. The in-ear buds are made of a high-density copper alloy, and are coated in Titanium. The earbuds come in either 9mm or 13mm Neodymium driver flavors, depending on what you are looking for. They also come with in-line controls, built-in mics, and in the case of the MDR-EX38iP and MDR-E10iP, you get to choose from two different colors. (White or black.) They may not be the most advanced earbuds on the planet, but we’re sure they’ll get the job done, especially for those iPhone users out there looking for headsets with built-in mics.

If you’re interested in any of the in-ear headsets, only the MDR-EX38iP are available now. The great news is that they only cost $40. That’s basically a steal. If you’re waiting to see how the others handle themselves out in the real world, you’ll have to wait until May. Hopefully they’ll have some good prices, too.
