Though earlier this week hundreds of owners of the iOS app Rock Band were sent a message with a death notice on it for months end, EA games now says nay. This message we're speaking about said quite specifically that on May 31, the game Rock Band would "no longer be playable on your device" - now Electronic Arts is saying that the message itself was a complete error. Speculation for this chain of events includes EA reacting to backlash from their own announcement as the gaming world was certainly not happy at the news once it dropped this week.

The game will follow the story of Prophet, who returns to New York only to discover that the city has been covered by a Nanodome constructed by the Cell Corporation.
