Burnout Crash comes to Xbox 360 and PS3

EA has announced that the latest Criterion video game is on Xbox 360 Xbox Live Arcade on the Playstation Network for the PS3 console and is called Burnout Crash. The video game is $9.99 for PS3 owners and 800 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 gamers. The game seems to be based on the Crash Mode in Burnout Paradise. iPad fastest growing games platform as consoles shrink to 40%

The iPad is the fastest growing games platform, developers EA have suggested, with consoles now accounting for just 40-percent of the games industry. "Consoles used to be 80-percent of the industry as recently as 2000" CEO John Riccitiello told IndustryGamers. "Consoles today are 40% of the game industry, so what do we really have?" He argues that the rise in casual gaming has meant that the cyclical nature of the games industry is less of an issue.   Read The Full Story

FIFA 12 Football Club Reveal from E3

When Matt Bilbey, Vice President of football for EA, took the stage at E3 today, we had no idea what that would mean for FIFA fans: the new Tactical Defending, the Player Impact Engine, and the biggest announcement of all the new EA Sports Football Club. Need For Speed The Run Details From E3

Need for speed has long been one of the most well known racing franchises. Today at E3, EA revealed some new details that will not only build on traditional elements of the game, but also add some new twists that may potentially revitalize the game. The Autolog feature is now integrated directly into the game, so every second counts toward, or possibly against, your stats. Activision Blizzard Announces Call Of Duty Black Ops For China, Reports High Q1 Earnings

Activision Blizzard announced a new Call of Duty online game today specifically for the Chinese market. The release will be a micro-transaction based online game that is free-to-play but will require small amounts of real money for virtual goods. Mass Effect 3 Delayed Until 2012

One of the most highly anticipated games of the year, Mass Effect 3, will be delayed by Electronic Arts until 2012. The company made the announcement on the game's Facebook page, saying they want to make sure the game is the best it can be. Mass Effect 3 was originally due out in Fall 2011. EA smacked with class-action suit over football game antitrust

EA Games is the subject of a new class action lawsuit, which alleges that the game publisher has been violating antitrust and consumer protection laws with its Madden NFL, NCAA Football and Arena Football League titles since 2005. According to the suit, Electronic Arts' exclusivity licenses with the National Football League (NFL), National Football League Players’ Association (NFLPA), National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and Arena Football League (AFL) left no room for competition and allowed them to overcharge for games.
