Power A unveils new line of controllers at E3

Each year when E3 rolls around the software and games offered tends to grab lots of the headlines from the show. There is also a bunch of hardware and peripherals that are unveiled at E3. Power A has announced a new line of controllers at E3 with models for the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii. "Our 2011 lineup at E3 is our best ever," said John Moore, vice president of product development and marketing, POWER A. "Coupled with a deep lineup of licensed Nintendo, LEGO, Pokémon, PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 video game accessories, this year's new Air Flo, Batarang and mini controllers offer something for every gamer to enjoy."

This game may be the coolest use yet for the Kinect. If you love Fruit Ninja on your iPhone or other mobile device, you will love the announcement Halfbrick made at E3. The developer is bringing Fruit Ninja to the Xbox and the game will use the Kinect to allow you to be the fruit killer. The game will be featured as part of the Summer of Arcade promotion from Microsoft and should be very cool. The game is pegged to land later this summer.

I have mentioned before that we have all three of the major game consoles in my house. We tend to play the PS3 more than anything else. The big reason for that is that we like driving and racing games around here and on the PS3 I have the Logitech G27 and a racing seat that makes Gran Turismo 5 some of the most realistic racing action to be had anywhere. I have wished on more than one occasion that Logitech would make the G27 work on the Xbox 360.

AMD and Intel have fought for the dollars of the computer enthusiast and gamers for a long time. It used to be years ago that the gamer leaned towards the AMD processors because AMD had faster and more overclockable hardware. Intel didn’t let that sit long and today AMD has nice parts and lower prices than Intel frequently, but Intel wins out in the high-end with processors that offer higher performance than AMD in many instances.

Sony Announces 3D Bombshell at E3 2011

Before Sony’s Jack Tretton took the stage today at E3, we got to see a game montage that highlighted many of the games to be released this year. When the audience was cued to put their glasses on, it was clear 3D was going to be featured by Sony at E3 this year. Resistance 3, Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception, and many other titles are coming out in 3D. Jack also announced that other titles like the God of War Origins collection will be re-released later this year in 3D. Overall, Sony plans on having over 100 3D titles available in the next year. Sony wants to show they are serious about the 3D experience.
