After all the speculation over the last few months, Sony's just announced the official release date of their motion-based accessories. Nintendo 3DS Official: Touch Panel, 3D Without Glasses [Update]

It's been a rumor for a little while now, but Nintendo, at their press conference at E3 on Tuesday officially announced the Nintendo 3DS. Basically, it's 3D in your pocket. Nintendo spent the majority of their time on the 3DS, at least in the beginning, talking about how well their 3D works compared to the competition, especially considering there's no glasses needed. My wife hates console gaming. She doesn’t just hate playing games on my Xbox or Playstation, she hates when I play them, too. For a while, I couldn’t figure out why.

Microsoft Kinect Available November 4th

With all those rumors floating around, it's good to finally get them to rest. On Monday, Microsoft officially announced that the motion-based controller, formerly known as Project Natal, and now known as Kinect, would be available in North America beginning on November 4th. Microsoft Kinect detailed; new Xbox 360 Slim leaks on video

So, Project Natal has become Microsoft Kinect, and the company has spilt the beans on their new motion gaming system for Xbox 360.  The Kinect hardware looks little changed from what we've seen in promo shots up until now, though with a change of color from white to black, but we now have more idea of what sort of games will be offered.  Meanwhile an Italian advert has apparently scooped Microsoft to showing off their new Xbox 360 Slim design.
