Happy with Netflix/Redbox 28-Day Delays? Warner Bros is too, and Wants More!

Early 2010, Warner Brothers studios pressured Redbox and Netflix into delaying rental releases by 28 days in hopes of people deciding they needed the movies as fast as they could get them, getting them then to purchase the movies from the store rather than renting. Apparently they succeeded, or at least they say they succeeded siting a 15% increase in packaged media sales since the 28 day decree. Now WB may be increasing the delay to see if sales increase even more.

Elitegroup ECS Morph-A: distinctive Full HD  all-in-one

You can't really argue with the fact that a nettop - especially an all-in-one - is basically a deskbound netbook with a bigger screen, and Elitegroup obviously couldn't even be bothered combining the ECS Morph-A's display and base section into a single chunk.  Still, they've obviously been busy with the orange go-faster stripes, perhaps a little incongruous given the Intel Atom D410 or D510 processors actually powering the machine.

I don't put my CDs or DVDs up after I use them typically. I tend to stack them in a pile on my desk or on the shelf behind my desk. I guess the kids learned the same thing from me since they tend to leave discs stacked as well. That means we often end up with games and movies that are too scratched to play.

Audiovox FLO TV DVD player coming; Doubled sports programming in 2010

We already knew that mophie and Qualcomm had joined forces to produce the mophie Juice Pack FLO TV edition, giving iPhone and iPod touch owners a way to not only recharge their handsets but watch live mobile TV on them too.  However Qualcomm have now announced that Audiovox - who already offer FLO TV functionality in some of their installed ICE systems - will be launching a new portable DVD player with integrated FLO TV later in 2010.  The chipset manufacturer also announced new content for the service.

ASUS Eee Box EB1501 up for $479 US preorder

ASUS' Ion-packing Eee Box, the EB1501, has finally gone up for pre-order in the US.  Priced at $479 at Amazon, the compact nettop uses Intel's dual-core Atom 330 processor along with 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard-drive, WiFi b/g/n and an HDMI output.  Unlike most other nettops we've seen, the EB1501 also squeezes in a slot-loading DVD burner.
