Canon EOS Rebel T4i photo and specs leak

Is Canon ready to drop another DSLR on us? That looks to be the case, as Canon Price Watch has served up an image of what looks to be the Canon T4i. The website believes that the new camera will be announced tomorrow along with two new lenses, the 18-135mm IS STM and pancake 40mm f/2.8. Sony NEX-F3 and Alpha SLT-A37 official

Sony has added two new cameras to its lineup, the NEX-F3 that we saw leaked not too long ago, and an entry level SLT camera, the Alpha SLT-A37. The NEX-F3 will feature the same interchangeable lens system and APS-C sensor as its cousins, but in a more affordable package and with some minor tweaks. Canon moves towards robotic assembly lines

Those of you who recently picked up a Canon 5D Mark III have the comfort of knowing that your super-expensive DSLR was lovingly assembled by hand in Japan. That may not be the case for much longer: today a Canon spokesperson announced that the company would be moving towards completely automated production starting immediately. It seems that if you’re trying to make a honest buck selling high-end DSLRs, you’re going to run into potential problems. Canon had to suspend EOS 5D Mark III shipments a few weeks ago due to a light leakage issue that affected picture output. Now Nikon seems to be facing a problem of its own with with D4 and D800. Sony NEX-F3 leak reveals 16.1 megapixel sensor

Yesterday we heard rumors that Nikon was working on another full frame DSLR, the D600, and Sony doesn’t seem to be sitting still either. A new leak indicates that an NEX-F3 is on the horizon, packing a 16.1 megapixel sensor, along with a chassis and features similar to the existing NEX line. Canon freezes EOS 5D Mark III shipments [Updated]

Canon has frozen shipments of the EOS 5D Mark III in Canada and the UK, after deeming the light leak problem with the camera is too serious to go uncorrected. “Canon has identified that when the LCD top light is switched on in very dark situations, the displayed exposure value may change on the EOS 5D Mark III” the company admitted last week; now it has confirmed that it will be freezing supplies until the fault can be rectified.

Canon's woes with the EOS 5D Mark III go from bad to worse, with independent tests suggesting the core performance of its new 22-megapixel sensor is little improved from the 5D Mark II it replaces. Nikon has outed its latest digital camera, the D3200, a 24.2-megapixel consumer model targeting new DSLR buyers with its speedy low-light performance and Full HD video. Offering a DX-format CMOS, Nikon’s EXPEED 3 image processor for up to 4fps continuous shooting, and 1080p HD, the D3200 also support’s Nikons’ new WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter which turns a smartphone or tablet into a remote control, with image previews and remote shutter release.
