This week we’ve gotten the opportunity to take a peek at the next HTC Android-based smartphone to hit Verizon – the DROID Incredible 4G LTE. This device represents what’s essentially a side-family to the HTC One series, complete with Beats Audio, an 8 megapixel camera on the back, and a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor inside. This device is not part of the HTC One series, but holding it in your hands you might never know it – consider it a hybrid of the DROID Incredible series and the power and finesse that HTC has been pushing with HTC One – a series that’s certainly turned some heads on all fronts.

Verizon DROID INCREDIBLE 4G LTE by HTC official

Verizon and HTC have officially unveiled the DROID INCREDIBLE 4G LTE, the latest Android smartphone to hit the carrier’s high-speed LTE network. Fronted by a 4-inch qHD Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass, the INCREDIBLE 4G LTE has an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4. In short, it’s Verizon’s version of the One S.

HTC Incredible 4G shot with ICS and elite upgrades

The next generation in one of HTC's best-selling lines of devices has appeared in several photos today complete with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC's own Sense 4.0 inside. This device is set to replace the HTC Incredible 2 which we've reviewed and adore so well and will have not only a dual-core processor and Verizon's 4G LTE connectivity, it'll have many of the same perks the HTC One series has as revealed earlier this month in our HTC One S and One X reviews. DROID Incredible 4G spotted for Verizon

HTC appears to be delivering more than just their hero range of HTC One devices this spring and summer, with the HTC DROID Incredible 4G showing up this week in the Verizon archives. This device has not yet been formally announced, but is looking to be set for somewhere around the end of April. HTC DROID Incredible flirted with Sprint before Verizon?

HTC EVO 4G shortages undermine Sprint’s WiMAX advantage admits Hesse

Sprint's patchy stock of the HTC EVO 4G has limited the impact of their early entrance into the 4G market, according to CEO Dan Hesse, telling the WSJ that "we thought we would have more of a head start than we'll end up having."  HTC says the delay in handsets is down to shortages in stocks of components like touchscreens, and that they're looking to new suppliers to boost production capacity; according to HTC spokesman Keith Nowak, the company is even monitoring flights to the US to get last-minute shipping space for the EVO 4G - and the Verizon Droid Incredible, similarly in short supply - as it rolls fresh off the production line and thus speed up availability.
