Lenovo netbooks get Dolby Headphone virtual surround sound

Dolby have officially announced the Dolby Headphone "personal surround sound" system which we saw demonstrated on a VIA netbook back in July, and confirmed that the technology will be included on Lenovo's IdeaPad S12 and S10-2 netbooks.  The system creates the illusion of 5.1 surround sound through stereo headphones by modeling the effect audio reflections off the walls and furnishings of a typical room would have on the listener's ears. Onkyo TX-NR807 AV receiver with internet radio and DLNA streaming

Onkyo have dropped a new home AV receiver, the company's first such home theater product to include Pandora, Rhapsody, and Sirius streaming internet radio support.   The Onyko TX-NR807 supports DLNA 1.5 media streaming, for playback of media stored on networked computers and drives, together with offering six HDMI ports, Faroudja DCDi Cinema 1080p upscaling and both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Onkyo HT-S7200 and HT-S6200 7.1-channel systems with ProLogic IIz support

Onkyo have announced a pair of new 7.1-channel home theater systems, offering a relatively straightforward way to add surround sound - including Dolby ProLogic IIz - and 1080p HD switching to a media setup.  The Onkyo HT-S7200 (shown here) and HT-S6200 have five and four HDMI 1.3a inputs, respectively, as well as the company's U-Port iPod charging/dock connector, and offer 130W per channel.   Read The Full Story

LG Arena KM900 official: 3G, touchscreen & heavy multimedia

After details leaked last week, and LG themselves teased the device's existence, the company has finally come clean and announced the LG Arena KM900.  The touchscreen handset will officially debut at Mobile World Congress in a week's time, but we now know that it will feature 7.2Mbps 3G HSDPA, WiFi, A-GPS and the company's new 3D S-Class User Interface.   Read The Full Story
