Toshiba CELL REGZA 55X1 HDTV: 8 simultaneous time-shift channels

Toshiba have announced their latest high-end LCD TV, and it's the first to include the Cell Broadband Engine for multi-channel display and DVR recording.  The Toshiba CELL REGZA 55X1 has a 55-inch, 5,000,000:1 contrast LED-backlit panel, with independent control over each of the 512 LED backlighting zones and 240Hz refresh.  It's accompanied by a processor box, housing the Cell goodies, which can pump out eight channels to be shown on-screen at once, time-shift up to eight channels simultaneously for 26 hours, or boot up a web browser based on Opera. Hitachi pack new HDTVs with 500GB hard-drive

Hitachi have unveiled five new HDTVs, each of which includes a 500GB hard-drive for local storage of recorded programming or downloaded content.  The sets - three plasmas, ranging from 42- to 50-inches, and two LCDs, at 37- and 42-inches - slot into the company's endearingly-titled Wooo TV range, and all support Full HD 1080p. Onkyo have dropped a new home AV receiver, the company's first such home theater product to include Pandora, Rhapsody, and Sirius streaming internet radio support.   The Onyko TX-NR807 supports DLNA 1.5 media streaming, for playback of media stored on networked computers and drives, together with offering six HDMI ports, Faroudja DCDi Cinema 1080p upscaling and both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Samsung WMG150 WiFi DLNA media adapter caught on video

Samsung 850 PAVV Plasma HDTV just 29mm thick

As the name implies, the Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive is essentially a NAS device with media hub abilities, intended to back up and playback multimedia files across your home network. Where it stands slightly out from the crowd is in its support of UPnP for DLNA-certified devices and iTunes, allowing the NAS to store and stream music, video and pictures to a variety of PC, laptop, home consumer electronics and Apple products.
