Warner Bros Gotham City Imposters gets free DLC on Xbox 360

Warner Bros Gotham City Imposters gets free DLC on Xbox 360

The downloadable game that features everything you love about the Batman universe, except everything that's actually part of the Batman universe, has just been handed a free pack of downloadable content. Gotham City Imposters, which as the name suggests is an action adventure starring characters that look like the classic heroes and villains but aren't quite, was released earlier this month so the launch of DLC is pretty quick.

Microsoft Xbox Live inadvertently posts Mass Effect 3 DLC

Microsoft Xbox Live inadvertently posts Mass Effect 3 DLC

Mass Effect 3 is no doubt going to go down as one of the biggest games in 2012, but it hasn't been released quite yet. So you can imagine the surprise of Xbox 360 users when they noticed that a piece of downloadable content was put up on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The DLC pack, called From Ashes, showed up on the digital marketplace but it did not appear to actually be downloadable. Someone clearly just hit a very wrong switch over at Microsoft headquarters. We bet he (or she) got a pretty stern talking to.

Rock Band Weekly DLC – More Crüefest plus System of a Down

Rock Band Weekly DLC – More Crüefest plus System of a Down

If Crüefest hasn't made its way to your area, there's a good chance that it will sometime in the near future. I had a chance to check it out a couple of weeks ago, and the bands put on a good show. You can now pick up another three-pack from some of the bands, plus a couple of singles from System of a Down.

Rock Band Weekly DLC – New singles galore

Rock Band Weekly DLC – New singles galore

This week's DLC for Rock Band is a little different from what we usually see. Normally we look forward to tracks that we've heard many times before, with the occasional new single thrown into the mix. However, this week we are treated to three brand new singles from different bands.

Guitar Hero DLC – Dragonforce three-pack

Guitar Hero DLC – Dragonforce three-pack

I must say that I'm impressed by Activision. They have announced yet another track pack for Guitar Hero III. Granted, it won't be out until next month, but it's definitely good to see that they haven't given up on DLC. So what could possibly follow up the Virtuoso Pack? Apparently only a trio of Dragonforce tracks.

Guitar Hero DLC – Virtuoso Pack

Guitar Hero DLC – Virtuoso Pack

With Guitar Hero: World Tour coming later this year, I'd all but given up on having much more DLC for GH III. Sure, we know about the new Metallica album that's coming, but that's probably it, right? Nope, Activision is still churning out new tracks (albeit slowly) for their current game. Hit the jump for the list of tracks in the upcoming Virtuoso Pack.

Rock Band Weekly DLC – NIN and Shinedown

Rock Band Weekly DLC – NIN and Shinedown

Well, E3 is over, which means this week will no doubt be a little slower on the major gaming announcements. However, you can always count on the guys at Harmonix to bring us a little something new every week. This week they've given us some Nine Inch Nails and Shinedown to look forward to.

Metallica to release Death Magnetic album as DLC for GH III, IV

Metallica to release Death Magnetic album as DLC for GH III, IV

I have to admit that my love for Metallica has been waning over the past several years. Not only has their music not been as great, but ever since they started promoting the suing of fans for downloading music, I've just not been as excited by their music. One place that I still enjoy hearing it is in both Guitar Hero and Rock Band.  Well it looks like I might actually purchase their latest album, this time for Guitar Hero, marking the first time I've cared to obtain an entire Metallica album in a decade or so.

Rock Band Weekly DLC – The Who

Rock Band Weekly DLC – The Who

The week of E3 is always big (even if the show is getting smaller and smaller with each passing year), so this week's DLC should be equally as large. We've been expecting a full album from The Who, however, due to some missing masters, we'll just have to settle for an awesome compilation of Who tracks.
