There's been no lack of musical instruments being announced this week at the 2012 edition of NAMM pops up on the circuit, Numark bringing one fantastically amazing looking DJ station to the scene complete with iPad integration. This device was showed off at the Media Preview Day for NAMM and features a gigantic slot right in the center where your iPad or iPad 2 fits in nicely, controlling the whole show. Pioneer DJM-250 DJ mixer is aimed at beginners

Pioneer has a bunch of DJ gear that is aimed at advanced DJs all the way down to the starter DJ that includes speakers and other gear. The company has announced a new DJ mixer called the DJM-250 and it is an entry level DJ mixer that has features for the DJ starting out that will allow them to create their own unique music. MOPHO DJ uses iPhone for digital scratching [Video]

The humble accelerometer shows its worth again, with Stanford University computer music student Nicholas J. Bryan turning an iPhone into a DJ tool that allows analog turntables to control digital music. MOPHO DJ uses the iPhone's accelerometer to track its position on the turntable, picking up a DJ's scratches and transmitting that wirelessly to a nearby computer which processes MP3s in real-time. Bad news if you've been holding out for a new Pioneer DJM-900nexus mixer; the company has announced it is delaying availability - and recalling all units currently in the wild - after spotting a problem with the headphone system.
