Isabella Products 3G Photo Frame hits Europe in early 2012

Isabella Products - the firm behind the Vizit 3G-enabled photo frame and the Isabella Mini 3G dongle to turn your TV or dumb digital photo frame into a wirelessly-connected photo viewer - has confirmed it's bringing its range to Europe, with the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain the first to get their hands on the connected kit. Isabella Mini promises instant photo sharing on your dumb digital frame or TV

Connected digital photo frame manufacturer Isabella Products has launched their latest product, the Isabella Mini, and the USB dongle promises to make regular digital frames and TVs wireless-aware. Inside is an AT&T modem and support for Isabella's VizitMe wireless photo sharing service: users will be able to receive emailed or MMS'd photos direct to the screen from their contacts, as well as from online galleries like Photobucket. Simplistic messaging company Peek is looking to move away from standalone hardware and instead position itself as a software provider for budget-smartphone and consumer electronics manufacturers. CEO Amol Sarva told GigaOm that Peek's power-frugral software - which offers support for push-email, location-based services and basic social networking integration, all on 100MHz chips - is set to arrive on five phones in the next month, and on thirty by the end of 2011. Qualcomm AR Digital Photo Frame demo [Video] [Updated]

Qualcomm are holding their annual IQ event in London today, and while the company has confirmed that their 1.5GHz Snapdragon chipset for smartphones and tablets is due in Q1 2011 (Update: the 1.5GHz actually won’t be until near the end of 2011; the 1.2GHz will arrive in Q1 2011) more interesting perhaps is their AR photo frame demo. Currently running as an Android app, the system allows users to take a photo on their smartphone, point the handset’s camera at a digital photo frame, and then instantly squirt the image over to it.
