It appears that Panasonic is turning on all engines in the digital camera game with no less than a couple of arms full of devices including the fabulous new LUMIX FZ60. This device brings on Full-HD video recording, high speed response time, and a giant 24x optical zoom lens. You'll be working with the LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 25mm ultra wide-angle lens with a 24x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 25-600mm) and will have not only Intelligent Zoom on your side, but Intelligent Resolution tech as well for high quality 48x equivalent images. Panasonic LUMIX LX7 brings a compact processing power punch

This week the folks at Panasonic have brought on the fury with a collection of cameras and accessories that will have your head spinning, hitting on a compact tip with the new LUMIX LX7. This camera has a 24mm ultra-wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX lens with 3.8x optical zoom. This lens brings on 11 elements in 10 groups with five aspherical lenses and nine aspherical surfaces - this including a dual-sided aspherical surface extra-low dispersion lens, a feature never before seen in a LUMIX piece of hardware. Panasonic Lumix SZ5 wifi camera brings on the cloud

This week Panasonic has revealed a collection of devices that are made to blow your mind in many different ways, the LUMIX SZ5 being a web-connected camera also made to do just that. Panasonic Lumix LZ20 unveiled with 21x optical zoom

This week the folks at Panasonic have revealed several new cameras, one of the more fabulous of which is the Lumix LZ20. This device is a "super zoom" digital camera with 21x optical zoom and a 25mm ultra wide-angle lens. This lens' 35mm camera equivalent is a 25-525mm lens, here though working with an Optical Image Stabilizer and the LZ20's 16-megapixel high resolution CCD sensor - this unit also has advanced image processing LSI which supports both high quality video and photos. Panasonic LUMIX G5, LX7 and FZ200 leak

A selection of new Panasonic LUMIX digital cameras have leaked, with the G5 Micro Four Thirds leading the way. A 16-megapixel interchangeable lens camera, the LUMIX G5 will be offered with a 12-35mm f/2.8 Power O.I.S zoom and a 45-150mm f/4 lens, according to a hastily-yanked article at The Telegraph, with pictures to match courtesy of 43 Rumors. Canon T4i rubber grips suffering from chemical reaction

The Canon T4i is the latest DSLR into the entry-level market, although a small batch of cameras seem to have been affected by a manufacturing problem. Canon has released a statement saying that the front rubber grips on some cameras may turn white after a short period of time. Canon has looked into the issue and determined that its caused by a reaction to zinc bis after exposure to high temperature or high humidity. Read The Full Story

Canon EOS-1D C 4K sample footage revealed

Back in April, Canon announced the EOS-1D C and the 500D, both capable of recording 4K video. The company didn’t announce pricing back then, but we’ll hazard a guess that neither camera will be cheap. If handheld 4K video is relevant to your interests, then new footage reportedly shot using the EOS-1D C might be worth a watch. Samsung WB100 packs 16MP and 24x optical zoom

Samsung has today introduced a new camera into its range, the WB100. It’s designed to capture high quality images while maintaining a compact form factor. The camera comes with a 26x optical zoom as well as a 22.3mm wide angle lens, with the sensor capable of capturing 16.2-megapixels. On top of that, there’s 720p/30 video recording, and Samsung has included a Dual Image Stabilisation mode to reduce soft photos as a result of shaky hands. Read The Full Story

Olympus to suitors: We’ll take your cash but not your name

Olympus has been struggling recently, reporting massive losses while those within the company have been struggling to get the brand back to profitability. There have been rumors that Panasonic was a potential saviour for the company, with a plan to invest around $635 million in Olympus as part of a rescue package. Panasonic quickly denied the rumors, saying there were no plans to invest. Now an Olympus executive has said that even if it does acquire much-needed capital from another firm, the company will try to retain its brand. Read The Full Story

JVC unveils new action camera called ADIXXION

Polaroid unveils Z2300 Instant Digital Camera

I think anyone that grew up in the 80s will remember the Polaroid instant cameras that spit the picture out of the front. I know when I was growing up we always thought watching those pictures develop was the coolest thing ever. Elements Micron Standard Line brings professional support for small cameras

If you've read up on our coverage of the camera gear group called 3ality Technica, you know there's a lot going on behind the scenes when it comes to supporting the cameras that capture the biggest-name films in the industry. Elements, a division of 3ality Technica, has launched a brand new product this week by the name of Micron. This "Micron Standard Line" is a set of accessories created specifically for digital cameras that are small and lightweight.
