Nikon announces 10 new Coolpix cameras, will launch them in February

Nikon has announced a slew of Coolpix compact cameras with a range of features, designs, and colors. Offerings include super-telephoto and zoom models, two rugged compacts aimed at the adventurous, and a couple models equipped with both wifi and GPS. New Kodak branded micro four thirds camera from JK Imaging spied

Earlier this month during CES 2013, word surfaced that a company called JK Imaging had licensed the Kodak name for a line of digital cameras. The company has already plastered that Kodak brand name on its digital photography offerings and has unveiled the first digital camera in its new line of Kodak products reports eprice and Weibo. Panasonic launches new Lumix SZ3 digital camera

Panasonic has rolled out a new line of digital cameras at CES 2013 that includes the compact and thin camera called the Lumix SZ3. Panasonic says that the little camera is packed with features that will cater to any photographer looking to take pictures of family and friends, vacation scenery, or subjects in low light. Nikon D5200 hits US in late-January: We go hands-on

Fujifilm has announced a couple of new compact shooters here at CES, the X20 and the X100S. Camera aficionados have been waiting a while for a successor to the X100, and it’s finally here. Specifically, Fujifilm is claiming that the X100S has the world’s fastest auto-focus of any camera, with a 0.8-second AF.

Canon rolls out the EOS-1D C in Japan, will bring it to the US soon

Canon has launched its uber-expensive EOS-1D C in Japan, and will be following it up with a launch in the United States rumored to take place in the next couple days. The 1D is priced at $11,999 and offers 18 megapixels in addition to a host of other features. For now, Japanese photographers can pick it up from Canon.jp. Olympus teases hybrid Four Thirds/Micro Four Thirds camera for 2013

Olympus is working on a hybrid Four Thirds/Micro Four Thirds camera for release late next year, which will support both types of lenses and offer the feel of a regular DSLR. Olympus Spain chief exec Miquel Àngel Garcia confirmed the roadmap to Spanish site Quesabesde, refusing to give specific details about the new interchangeable lens camera, but suggesting that it would be for "those who want the feel of an SLR and at the same time take advantage of a small system."   Read The Full Story

Lytro announces new Perspective Shift and Living Filters features

Lytro, maker of the "world's first" consumer-level light field camera, has announced that it will release Living Filters and Perspective Shift for the device on December 4. The new features will be available via the Lytro Desktop application, which is free. Using these new features, users will be able to change a picture's point of view after it has been taken, while the filters will give photographers one of nine options for changing a photo's appearance. Nikon releases 24-megapixel D5200 DSLR camera with 39-point auto focus

Nikon has announced the release of its new D5200 DSLR, a 24.1-megapixel compact-body camera. This entry-level shooter is available in three different colors - black, red, and bronze - and offers a host of higher-end features, including 39-point auto focus.
