Lockheed & DARPA’s Integrated Spotter Scope Gives Snipers a Real Aimbot

Lockheed & DARPA’s Integrated Spotter Scope Gives Snipers a Real Aimbot

As far as technology goes, and the gadgets that we love, the military tends to get the best of the best. Prototypes come and go out of the military on a daily basis, and unfortunately a lot of them don't make it to the battlefield. But, when one looks, and potentially works, as good as this one from Lockheed, it would be a surprise to not find that it gets fully tested and pushed out onto the field in record time. The Integrated Spotter Scope (ISS), is a working model of a scope that automatically adjusts for the elements of nature, as well as the range from the target.

Researchers at Kyoto University Create X-ray Generation Device That Fits in Your Hand

In the technology world, there's a race to make everything smaller. Even if it's for a short time, the ability for scientists and researchers to make something that's normally big, and cram it down to a ridiculous size is something of a pasttime. For a group of researchers at the Kyoto University in Japan, they've managed to not only create an X-ray generation device that fits in the palm of your hand, but one that's also powered by standard D-type batteries.

Precer Group’s Bioracer Uses Wood Pellets for Fuel

Alternate energy options are expanding, and even if some may not be as good as others, it's good to see the development continuing. The precer Group have taken some time to detail their new Bioracer, which promotes the company's biomass powerplants. And while the group has focused on buildings for the most part, they wanted to show their alternate energy options can do more than just power the lamp in your living room.

Emergency Flashlight Concept Brings Two Flashlights Together with Fluorescent Rope

Emergency Flashlight Concept Brings Two Flashlights Together with Fluorescent Rope

The flashlight's design hasn't changed a lot over the years. But in a chaotic situation, where the lights have just gone out and there's a lot of people running around, usually in a wide range of ages, it could be potentially very hard to lead anyone to safety with just one flashlight. The Emergency Flashlight concept looks to change that, providing two flashlights, along with a glowing fluorescent rope, to help make sure that everyone gets out safely.

Halo Intersceptor Brings the Car, Jet, Boat & Helicopter Together Into One Great Concept

Halo Intersceptor Brings the Car, Jet, Boat & Helicopter Together Into One Great Concept

There's no denying that this is a concept. It may have been enough just to put the car up for a concept design award, as it's one of the best looking cars we've ever wanted to drive, but that's not the case for this designer. Bringing together a car, a boat, helicopter, and jet, the Halo Intersceptor is a concept to beat all other concepts.

Gresso Luxor World Time Phone Puts Sapphire Crystals and World Clocks in Your Hand

For special or limited edition items, there's got to be something inside the package, or part of the device itself, that makes the title worthwhile. Otherwise, it wouldn't be very special. However, there are some companies out there that take things to an extreme level. Gresso has done just that, as they've unveiled their brand new limited edition cell phone, which features plenty of "extras" that make the title make sense, but will still make your wallet have a panic attack.

Nokia E-Cu Concept Phone Charges in Your Pocket Thanks to Body Heat

Nokia E-Cu Concept Phone Charges in Your Pocket Thanks to Body Heat

Having a cell phone is one thing, but having a dead cell phone, with a battery that's been depleted for hours even before you go out to hang out with your friends is another thing entirely. Even as smartphones evolve, their battery lives don't seem to be getting better at a rapid rate (due mostly because we use them more, thanks to the evolution of those smartphones). So, what if we could have a phone that just charged in your pocket, without us even thinking about it? That's where the Nokia E-Cu concept phone comes in.

Falcon Innovations Germ Genie Kills 99% of Germs on Keyboards

Falcon Innovations Germ Genie Kills 99% of Germs on Keyboards

Back in 2008, there was a survey conducted that was showcased in England's Which? magazine. The study was meant to find out how much bacteria lives on your every day keyboard, and the results were pretty shocking. It found that, on average, there is about five times more bacteria on the keyboard, than you'll find on your toilet seat. That percentage only grows as you look at public keyboards, as the more people use it, the more bacteria gets deposited onto the keyboard. There are plenty of ways to kill bacteria on a keyboard, even down to just using sanitizing wipes, but what if you want something a bit more exact? That's where the Germ Genie comes in.
