Star Trek meets Green Lantern this summer in comic book crossover

It's time for another oddball crossover story, comic book fans! This summer we will be seeing a six-issue miniseries that brings together the worlds of Star Trek and the Green Lantern, thanks to a collaboration between CBS, IDW Publishing, and DC Entertainment. Titled Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War, the series will have the crew of the starship Enterprise meeting the Green Lantern, the alias of Hal Jordan. Actually, the mashup may not be so odd, as IDW President/COO Greg Goldstein points out, the two sci-fi series have galaxy-spanning storylines, with plenty of opportunities to overlap.

Starting today, the DC fans camp might be split into two. On one side, you're most likely to find fans of the Game of Thrones. On the other side, well, you have everyone else. LEGO 2015 includes Invisible Jet, Hulkbuster, Stormtroopers

This upcoming LEGO-filled year is going to be filled with some really, really strange sets. The January - June catalog (the German version) for LEGO has been released and it's packed with Avengers: Age of Ultron, new DC and Marvel Comics sets, and Star Wars. Don't expect to see any Star Wars: The Force Awakens sets quite yet as the film is set to be released in December, but feel free to get pumped about the inordinate amount of Stormtroopers coming in multiple sets in the first quarter of the year.

Lego has announced that one of its sets to come out next year based on the DC Superheroes line will include Wonder Woman and her famed vehicle of choice, the invisible jet. Except the pieces used to build the aircraft are actually visible, and when you put them all together, they're still not invisible. Which kinda sucks. This became apparent this week when it was revealed that The LEGO Movie 2 - sequel to the highly popular 2014 LEGO Movie - will be pushed back in favor of a LEGO Batman spin-off. No, not THAT Batman made of LEGO, but this newer, funnier LEGO Batman. Will Arnett's Batman - ready to command another movie all his own. We can only hope that Jim Carrey will return for another Riddler.
