We’ve a soft-spot for Scottish radio and iPod dock manufacturer Revo; their tech at least attempts to look interesting, whether it’s through retro styling (but up to date functionality) or something more modern but no less distinctive.  The company’s latest model is the Revo HERITAGE, a “contemporary reinterpretation of classic European table radio designs from the 50’s and 60’s” that packages DAB, DAB+, FM and WiFi internet radio, DLNA UPnP streaming and an iPod/iPhone dock.

We haven’t talked about the old school looking Pure DAB radios since way back in 2006. Today the company has announced a new, old looking DAB radio that also features integrated FM tuner called the Elan II.

UK radio manufacturer Revo have announced their latest model, the DOMINO D3, a DAB/DAB+ digital radio with integrated iPod/iPhone dock and internet radio streaming.  The DOMINO D3 also supports Last.fm streaming, and the whole thing has a soft rubber coating that, while stopping short of making it waterproof, at least does make it fetishistically touchable.

PURE have already been pushing their WiFi and DAB radios for some time now, but their latest Sensia model really deserves to tip them over into prime-time.  The PURE Sensia couples both a DAB/DAB+ digital radio and WiFi streaming into a single model, complete with a 5.7-inch 640 x 480 capacitive touchscreen and social networking plug-in apps including Twitter, Facebook and Picasa.

We’re sure some of you couldn’t sleep all weekend what with the promise of Revo’s teaser campaign reaching its climax this morning, and sure enough the UK company has another radio for your delectation.  To be fair, the Revo IKON isn’t any old radio: in fact, it’s the world’s first color touchscreen, multi-format digital radio, complete with a 3.5-inch display, iPod/iPhone dock and Last.fm integration.

Is there room in your heart for another teaser campaign?  Before you scream “no!”, yank the power cord, sell your home and retreat to the woods to live the life of a hermit, perhaps stick around until the early hours of Monday morning to find out what UK radio and mediaplayer specialists Revo have up their sleeve.

All alone in a darkened room: what better to do than run through the GUI of iriver’s quietly-announced B30 PMP.  A discrete appearance on the iriver site back in late May, the B30 distinguishes itself with a T-DMB mobile TV tuner and DAB radio, paired with a 2.8-inch QVGA display.  Now we’ve a full video run-through of the UI and, as is generally the case with iriver’s products, it’s a beautifully put together system.

As curiously shaped WiFi/DAB radios go, Monitor Audio’s Airstream 10 certainly takes some beating.  The bizarrely-kinked media player packs in digital and analog FM radios, together with cross-network MP3 streaming, and one of the first units has arrived at Stuff.tv.

Porient is probably not a name you’re familiar with, but then again they likely aren’t too bothered about that unless you’re looking to buy a few thousand of their H12 MID.  The compact handheld uses a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen with a 520MHz Intel XScale PXA270 processor, 2GB of flash storage and a Linux-based OS. It’s intended for mobile internet access, courtesy of WiFi b/g, but also entertainment thanks to DAB/DVB-H/DVB-T digital TV and radio tuners.

Revo’s Pico RadioStation is still not much use to anyone outside of a DAB service area who wants to listen to digital radio, but the company has included WiFi in this latest model.  That means access to hundreds of internet radio stations, and since there’s an FM radio in there as well you can tune in even without a wireless connection available.
