Taking advantage of the capacity and capability of expanding 3G networks, the WALKMAN phones also boast video conferencing capabilities, streaming video applications, GPS Bluetooth navigational capabilities, and hundreds of incredible JAVA 3D games titles that will keep users busy indefinitely.

Additionally, for the blogger happy mobile user, WALKMAN phones come pre-loaded with SHOZU’s image sharing service that enables end-users to quickly transmit camera phone videos and photos, at a high resolution, to many popular Internet blogging platforms, personal blog sites and citizen photojournalism sites, without suspending phone calls or other phone activities while the image is transferring, or having to start over if the connection is dropped. The service also enables users to add descriptions and tags either before or after uploading, and receive and reply to online comments posted at the destination sites without waiting to get to their computers. http://www.shozu.com.

Until Apple introduces its own branded iPhone, consumers will be hard pressed to find as good a cellular based music device. Until then, for more on iTunes compatible phones http://www.apple.com/itunes/mobile.

Rebirth of a brand

Rebirth of a brand

There was a time, not so long ago, where the word WALKMAN synonymously meant mobile music player. For whatever reason, the WALKMAN brand did not evolve to meet consumers MP3 needs and as a result Apple’s IPOD has become the world’s must have mobile music player brand to date. So its about time Sony returned with a new device to challenge the competition!

SONY ERICSSON’s WALKMAN branded phone devices are super sleek and super stylish and importantly have expandable memory slots to make your on the road music experience worthwhile. http://www.sonyericsson.com

A lot of thought has gone into the user interfaces of these devices. They have three dedicated hardware keys, one to launch the music application and two on the side to control your volume. The music application is a new Symbian UIQ app, and uses the touch screen for ease of user navigation. Similarly, users can browse album art associated with the songs they load onto the device.

HTC Excalibur Is T-Mobile Dash

HTC Excalibur Is T-Mobile Dash

Words cannot even begin to describe how awesome the HTC Excalibur feels in the palm of your hand, and watching videos only gets you there half way. You just need to hold it to understand why I’m giving the HTC Excalibur Best In Show at CTIA Wireless IT and Entertainment in LA 2006. I’ll elaborate more on this in a later article when I do a side-by-side comparison between the HTC Excalibur and Nokia’s E62 smartphone.

HTC Excalibur Is T-Mobile DashThe HTC Excalibur is also known as the XDA Cosmo, available in Germany through O2 network. There are rumblings that T-Mobile will score the HTC Excalibur; called Dash. I confirm this report thanks to a shot I’d captured during my photo shoot at the show. Check out the screen shot below showing the T-Mobile logo. Also, thanks to a screen shot via MoDaCo, shows the Dash’s System Information revealing the model name as T-Mobile Dash. More after the jump!

Cingular 3125 Hands-On

Cingular 3125 Hands-On

I had a chance to test drive Cingular’s new 3125 (aka HTC Star Trek) earlier this week. It’s super thin, only slightly thicker, long and wider than the RAZR. Unlike the RAZR, it feels really nice in the palm of my hand, thanks to the seamless design and quality material used in the casing. It’s also a smartphone for all you Windows Mobile fanatics! It’s highly responsive to match the super bright screen. I anticipate a full review forthcoming weeks as we get this new device in. The Cingular 3125 is available for $299.99 or $149.99 with a two-year commitment. Click through for more images.
