Today we had a chance to speak with a fellow named Dylan who was representing the Ford Motor Company and their soon to be released 2012 Ford Focus Electric car. Our first encounter included no less than an in-depth look at how the mobile application MyFord Mobile, made specifically for this vehicle, worked with and assisted the vehicle in real time. DROID Incredible 4G LTE Hands-on

This week we’ve gotten the opportunity to take a peek at the next HTC Android-based smartphone to hit Verizon – the DROID Incredible 4G LTE. This device represents what’s essentially a side-family to the HTC One series, complete with Beats Audio, an 8 megapixel camera on the back, and a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor inside. This device is not part of the HTC One series, but holding it in your hands you might never know it – consider it a hybrid of the DROID Incredible series and the power and finesse that HTC has been pushing with HTC One – a series that’s certainly turned some heads on all fronts.

AT&T Digital Life home automation Hands-on

The folks at AT&T have taken on home automation with a fury this week, showing off their new AT&T Digital Life system with a pack of iPads in a New Orleans home that's become fully controlled by the user. The user of course is you, the homeowner, and the way you're going to do it is with a fully customizable application (and environment) that AT&T will be making available in the near future. The next Windows Phone on the market will not be the most powerful device on the market, nor will it be the most flashy - instead it will be the Samsung Focus 2 at a mere $50 and LTE right out of the gate. This device runs Windows Phone Mango, has a 5 megapixel camera on the back, and is extremely basic in its functions and form. You'll notice how similar it looks to the Galaxy S Blaze on T-Mobile, this device also representing the same basic concept - 4G LTE speeds at a super-low cost. Read The Full Story

Golden-i takes on Project Glass

A couple of decades ago, wearable displays and head-mounted computers were the stuff of spy stories science fiction - which is certainly where Kopin, Inc. seems to have gotten the inspiration for Golden-i. They're calling their new device a head-mounted computer, with a bevy of integrated sensors and radios to help it along. Instead of acting like a more techy version of glasses like Google's Project Glass, the Golden-i is designed to actually fit over standard glasses or safety goggles giving it applications in all sorts of industrial capacities. HTC One V USA release tipped for CTIA

The folks at HTC have been tipped to be bringing one or more carrier-branded model of the HTC One V to CTIA this week in New Orleans, the device itself announced for a stateside release earlier today. We've heard from sources close to the matter and have gleaned through some fairly obvious-seeming clues (such as the press tag shown here) that HTC will be bringing their HTC One lineup to the show in full force, with an HTC One V USA carrier-laden device more than likely in the pipeline. We reported earlier today via HTC that the group would be releasing the device "soon" for the summer season here in the United States. Read The Full Story

CTIA 2012 set for SlashGear and Bill Clinton action!

Starting next week we’ll be at the next big event, the mobile-focused CTIA 2012 in New Orleans with none other than former President of the United States Bill Clinton! We probably won’t end up shaking hands with the man or anything like that, instead we’ll all be at CTIA checking out and working with the businesses and manufacturers behind the next generation of mobile devices including smartphones, tablets, mobile data of all kinds and beyond! Bill Clinton will be delivering a keynote speech on his own “back in the future business” mantra and how it works with technology for the future.
