Samsung Android Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet discovered in CTIA video

Samsung Android Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet discovered in CTIA video

It appears that there may be "more than meets the eye", if I may quote my transformer friends, in that Samsung video we saw early this morning - not just a "Nexus" phone, but a tablet too. As filmmaker Joe Lancaster sends us a tip on, the clip in the video we saw this morning certainly does include at LEAST the image of a smartphone of some sort with the three pins for inductive charging on the landscape side of the device, while behind the smartphone may well be a secondary device that's slightly more hidden from view. Seem wild enough to be true?

Samsung Teases Ice Cream Sandwich device for CTIA release

What you're about to see may alarm you - do not be frightened - this may well be your first glimpse at the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich device, and it's dangerously curved. Samsung has been pretty good about promoting their devices over the past few months, always letting us know that there's something magical around the bend with teaser videos galore - this time it's a set of combos from real life, this all leading us to believe that the Ice Cream Sandwich hero device (that operating system being one that combines tablet and smartphone functionality) is right around the bend. And bent it is, ladies and gentlemen, bent it is.

HTC Flyer Hands-On and Unboxing [Best Buy]

Behold the next version of the HTC Flyer tablet. As this device rolls out we're finding many lovely iterations including the one Chris Davies already reviewed here on SlashGear, one we saw at CTIA 2011 by a slightly different name, and now this Best Buy version. This version of the device does not come with the scribe pen in the box, instead you'll have to purchase it for $79, this device is white and silver like the one we've seen already, and it's time we had a super look at it.

Samsung has been on a roll this past week, with the ultra-slim Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 tablets finally bringing some serious competition - in specs, design and price - to the iPad 2, and helping the company dominate the news cycle at CTIA 2011. Samsung also brought along the Galaxy S II to the show, and our sibling site Android Community grabbed some hands-on time with the dual-core smartphone.

HTC EVO 3D Hands-On

HTC EVO 3D Hands-On

We've been given the opportunity to take a hands-on look at CTIA 2011 at the HTC EVO 3D and its announcement partner, the EVO View 4G. The following is an account of what we saw in the HTC EVO 3D - a device that can not only show off all sorts of wild 3D content without the aid of glasses, it can capture content as well. This isn't the very first device to be able to do this, and it's not the first object to be able to do this at this size, but it IS a rather fabulous looking bit of competition for this ever-growing 3D game, whether you think it's a real trend or not!

Sprint CEO: “Not faux-G, 4G” on our network

With the AT&T/T-Mobile USA acquisition still hanging in the air, and a keynote this morning attended by Sprint, Verizon and AT&T execs but punctuated with no small number of barbs, it comes as little surprise that Sprint CEO Dan Hesse took a pot-shot at rival 4G networks during the Sprint CTIA 2011 keynote today. In among announcing the HTC EVO View 4G, Hesse pointedly highlighted that the WiMAX-enabled Flyer delivers "not faux-G, 4G" on his network.
