ASUS has boarded the ultrabook bandwagon, and it’s picked an impressive machine to show its hand. The ASUS Zenbook UX21 may not be branded an ultrabook, but it’s just as much one of the new Intel breed of ultrabooks – and a MacBook Air rival – as Acer’s, Toshiba’s, Lenovo’s and the rest. What you're going to get right here is one small computer, that's an open and shut case. This is the quite unassuming LPC-125LPM from Stealth Computer, a group that's known for it's small and awesome machinery. This device measures 6.1-inches by 4-inches by 1.45-inches, it weighing in at 1.2 pounds and having any color case you want, just so long as it's black. Inside you're going to find a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, and a 55GB solid state drive. Toshiba has outed its latest 3D laptop, the Qosmio F750 3D, the first to offer glasses-free 3D. Pairing a lenticular display - which splits the image between the left and right eyes - with a 15.6-inch Full HD LCD panel and clever eye-tracking technology to preserve the 3D effect even as you move your head around, the Toshiba Qosmio F750 3D has a 2.0GHz Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics, 6GB of DDR3 memory and a Blu-ray XL recordable drive.

Samsung has outed a new range of Series 9 notebooks, with three new 13.3-inch models and two new 11.6-inch models, priced from $1,049. The new Series 9 machines keep the styling of the models that began shipping in May, but add in new Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, up to 256GB SSDs and up to 6GB of DDR3 memory.

Sony has unveiled its latest performance ultraportable, the Sony VAIO Z Series, tipping the scales at under 1.2kg but still offering - thanks to a docking station that uses the same Intel Thunderbolt connection technology as Apple recently adopted - solid graphics performance with an external video card. The new 13.1-inch 1600 x 900 notebook runs up to a Core i7-2620M 2.7GHz processor paired with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and up to a 256GB SSD, while the Sony Power Media Dock VGP-PRZ20C/VGP-PRZ20A packs an AMD Radeon HD 6650M graphics card with 1GB of dedicated memory, a choice of DVD or Blu-ray drives, and support for a further two simultaneous monitors.

Toshiba's Satellite L750 isn't the only new piece of computing hardware from the company today; there's also a swanky new all-in-one PC. The Toshiba DX1215 has a 21.5-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen, behind which lurks either a Sandy Bridge Core i5 or i7 processor and a 1TB 7,200 rpm hard-drive running Windows 7.

The company's computing arm has brought a whole bevy of ROG-branded kit to Computex this week, including everything from video cards, gaming notebooks and desktops, 3D displays and more. Sony is talking VAIO notebooks again this morning, and it looks like the company is flexing its obsession with power with an update to the VAIO S-Series. A new 15-inch mainstream notebook – and the harbinger to a fresh design ethos from the company – the XPS 15z promises stylistic and construction lessons learned from memorable models like the Dell Adamo. Toshiba is readying a new gaming notebook, the Qosmio X770, which will also be available as a 3D version using NVIDIA's 3D Vision technology. The X770, Notebook Italia discovered, has a 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display packed into a distinctively-colored desktop replacement chassis; inside there's Intel's 2.0GHz Core i7-2630QM processor (with a 2.9GHz potential Turbo Boost overclock) and a pair of hard-drives, one of which is a hybrid HDD/SSD model.

LG shook up ultraportables with the Xnote P210 late last year, a super-compact notebook which squeezed a 12.5-inch display into where you’d more commonly find an 11.3-inch panel; now the company is back with a new model based on the same narrow-bezel technology. The LG Blade P530 made its official debut earlier this month, and SlashGear scored some hands-on time at the Korea World IT Show today.
