ASUS ROG G53SX Naked Eye 3D gaming notebook arrives (& brings friends)
You didn't think ASUS was going to leave it at a single Republic of Gamers motherboard and a clutch of tablets did you? The company's computing arm has brought a whole bevy of ROG-branded kit to Computex this week, including everything from video cards, gaming notebooks and desktops, 3D displays and more. Top of the tree is probably the ASUS ROG G53SX Naked Eye 3D gaming notebook, with a glasses-free 3D display paired with Sandy Bridge Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics.

Sony VAIO S-Series and F-Series bring Core i7 to ultraportables and gaming
Sony is talking VAIO notebooks again this morning, and it looks like the company is flexing its obsession with power with an update to the VAIO S-Series. Packing a Core i7 processor - complete with Turbo Boost overclocking - along with an onboard DVD burner, optional SSD, optional AMD Radeon HD 6630 GPU and a 13.3-inch 1600 x 900 display, the bumped S-Series' main charm is the potential for up to 15hrs of runtime.

Dell XPS 15z official: Hands-on
After teasers, leaks and Michael Dell himself getting ahead of the rumor campaign in his excitement, it comes as little surprise to see the Dell XPS 15z notebook made official this morning. A new 15-inch mainstream notebook – and the harbinger to a fresh design ethos from the company – the XPS 15z promises stylistic and construction lessons learned from memorable models like the Dell Adamo. Toshiba Qosmio X770 3D packs Core i7 and 3D webcam
Toshiba is readying a new gaming notebook, the Qosmio X770, which will also be available as a 3D version using NVIDIA's 3D Vision technology. The X770, Notebook Italia discovered, has a 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display packed into a distinctively-colored desktop replacement chassis; inside there's Intel's 2.0GHz Core i7-2630QM processor (with a 2.9GHz potential Turbo Boost overclock) and a pair of hard-drives, one of which is a hybrid HDD/SSD model.

LG Blade P530 hands-on
LG shook up ultraportables with the Xnote P210 late last year, a super-compact notebook which squeezed a 12.5-inch display into where you’d more commonly find an 11.3-inch panel; now the company is back with a new model based on the same narrow-bezel technology. The LG Blade P530 made its official debut earlier this month, and SlashGear scored some hands-on time at the Korea World IT Show today.
New Apple iMac: Thunderbolt, Sandy Bridge and FaceTime HD
Apple has unveiled its new iMac range, and as expected the all-in-one desktops have been upgraded with Intel’s 2011 Sandy Bridge quad-core processors, new graphics and Thunderbolt connectivity. The new iMacs come in the same 21.5-inch and 27-inch versions, with the entry-level $1,199 21.5-inch model having a 2.5GHz quad-core Core i5 processor, AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics and a 500GB hard-drive. At the other end there’s the $1,999 27-inch machine with a 3.1GHz quad-core Core i5 processor, Radeon HD 6970M graphics and 1TB of storage. Optional is a $200 quad-core Intel Core i7 processor upgrade on select models, running at up to 3.4GHz.
ORIGIN EON17-S overclocks Core i7 to 4.5GHz for gaming notebook
Intel always said its Sandy Bridge processors were capable of a lot, and gaming laptop manufacturer ORIGIN has taken them at their word with the massively-overclocked EON17-S. Alienware M14x and M18x official; M11x refreshed
Dell has officially announced the Alienware M14x and Alienware M18x, as well as reworked the smallest gaming notebook it offers, the Alienware M11x. The new 14-inch M14x and 18.4-inch M18x each come with quadcore Intel Core i7 processors - overclocked from the factory in the case of the bigger machine - while the M11x shifts to Intel's 2011 Core i5 and Core i7 chips at 1.4GHz and 1.6GHz respectively.

Lenovo ThinkPad W520 on sale now: Quadcore undercuts MBP by $550
Lenovo's ThinkPad W520 mobile workstation has gone up for sale, with the 15.6-inch notebook priced from $1,449 with an Intel Core-i7 processor. Announced back in February, the W520 starts out with a 2.7GHz Core i7-2620M chip, 4GB of RAM and NVIDIA Quadro 1000M Optimus graphics, but $1,649 gets you the quadcore 2.2GHz Core i7-2720QM processor.
