ASUS TAICHI doubles the displays for Windows 8

ASUS has unveiled the TAICHI, a new twist on the convertible notebook with not one but two displays, and running Windows 8. Ostensibly a regular notebook when opened, complete with a 13.3-inch display, keyboard, trackpad and a 3rd Gen Core i7 processor, close the lid and you’ll find a second screen: this time an 11.6-inch panel.

Intel 3rd Gen Core Ivy Bridge processors official

Intel has officially launched its 3rd-gen Core processor line-up, based on 22nm Ivy Bridge architecture, for a 20-percent performance boost while using 20-percent less power than last-gen Sandy Bridge chips. The new Core chips are built using 3D Tri-Gate transistor architecture, and include a new on-processor HD Graphics 4000 GPU for up to twice the HD media and 3D graphics performance. Finally, there are new security features for home and enterprise users.

MAINGEAR has outed its latest custom PC, the Solo, a 21-inch all-in-one which promises to be the most flexible of its ilk. Fronted by a 1080p Full HD display - with an optional 10-point multitouch touchscreen - the Solo kicks off with a Core i3-2125 processor and 4GB of memory, but can be upgraded to a Core i7-2600S and 16GB of DDR3-1333. The Ultrabook world is continuing its rise to glory as the Acer Aspire S3 (here with the Core i7 processer inside) runs the thin show at .68 inches at its thickest point. This is by no means the thinnest notebook on earth, nor is it the Ultrabook with the most impressive set of specifications, but this relatively basic (if any Ultrabook is basic) model has a stack of features and a full package that will satisfy any general use owner. This notebook has a 13.3-inch Active Matrix TFT display at 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, CineCrystal (glossy) and clear as day coupled with Intel HD Graphics 3000 and Dolby Home Theater v4 audio enhancement on built-in stereo speakers – that means good entertainment.
