Upcoming skateboard game Tony Hawk: RIDE has been priced for the UK, with retailer Game listing the title – complete with a limited edition board controller – at £99.99 ($168).  The custom board is designed by Tony Hawk himself, hence the great big hawk on it, and is exclusive to Game.

Zeemote have launched a version of their Bluetooth mobile gaming controller for BlackBerry smartphones.  The Zeemote JS1 is compatible with all BlackBerry handsets that have a trackball, and connects wirelessly to offer over fifty hours of battery-powered gameplay.

Activision have been showing off their latest peripheral, and this time they’ve set their sights on your pocket.  Set to be included with every purchase of Band Hero DS, the upcoming musical game for Nintendo’s clamshell console, the Band Hero DS Drum Grip is a rubberized silicon sleeve that fits over the DS Lite.

Sony have revealed plans to add facial recognition capabilities to their PlayStation Eye webcam, potentially stealing part of Microsoft’s Project Natal thunder.  According to Kish Hirani, Sony Europe’s head of developer services, the functionality will soon be added to the existing hardware, with developer libraries available for games studios so that they don’t need to exert effort specifically coding for the new system.

Logitech have announced their latest gaming peripheral, the Wireless Drum Controller for Guitar Hero on the PS3.  Consisting of three drum-heads with recessed rims, dual cymbal pads and a kick pedal, the system is licensed by Activision and connects to the PS3 via a 2.4GHz wireless USB receiver.

We’re not entirely convinced by the name 22Moo, but now that iPhone OS 3.0 supports third-party peripherals we’re sure we could find some bag-space for their GameBone Pro controller.  Intended to be used with an iPhone or iPod touch, the GameBone Pro hooks up via Bluetooth or Apple’s dock-connector, and has an 8-way D-pad plus six buttons.

Logitech have announced their latest Guitar Hero peripheral, a wireless controller for the Xbox 360.  Like the company’s existing guitar controller for PS2 and PS3, the new Xbox 360 version has a wood neck, rosewood fingerboard and metal frets.

Well this is pretty neat. It’s called the Peregrine and it’s a nifty little accessory for PC gamers that want a more hands-on approach to their gaming. Yes, this glove here is actually a video game controller.
