Chrysler announces Blu-ray system is now available in minivans

DVD players have been available in all manner of vehicles for just about as long as the DVD has been around. Before DVDs, some vans even had old school VCRs in them to allow people to watch movies on the go. What we haven't seen so far is Blu-ray players available in vehicles, which is rather surprising. Fiat 500e teaser previews 2013′s must-have EV

Fiat has been teasing details around its next electric vehicle, the Fiat 500e, expected to arrive on Californian shores sometime in 2013. The new car - which will make its official debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show kicking off on November 30 - will feature some aesthetic differences from the regular gas-powered model, with the burnt orange of the promo car Fiat is using in its teaser being offset with matte white detailing around the mirrors and  lower front grille. Chrysler recalls 745,000 Jeeps for faulty airbag

If you drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee or a Jeep Liberty with a model year of 2002, 2003, or 2004, then you might want to head to your nearest Chrysler dealership and get it looked at. Chrysler is recalling 744,822 Jeeps because a part in the airbag control module may possibly fail, according to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Read The Full Story

California demands electric cars from more manufacturers

California has gained a reputation as one of the scripted governmental bodies in the world when it comes to the environment, and like it or not, there's no denying that its legislation drives green technology. At the moment the top six automakers in the state - Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda and Nissan - are required to sell a certain number of all-electric or fuel-cell cars every year. California has updated its mandate so that by 2018, any automaker that sells 20,000 vehicles or more in the state will also be held accountable. Read The Full Story

Chrysler group unveils industry’s first in-vehicle wireless charging solution

There've been wireless charging solutions to use at home or in the office for a while now. I think most of us are familiar with these solutions that use a special case or battery door on your smartphone allowing you to set it down on charging plate to recharge the battery without having to fiddle with wires. Chrysler does handbrake turn: $183m income after 2010′s losses

Chrysler has apparently done the impossible, turning around dire losses of $652m in 2010 to make $183m in income in 2011, with operating profit doubling to $2bn. Announcing its full year 2011 figures today, the car firm even managed to choke down a $551m debt payment in Q2, and still exceeded operating profit against the previous year by 2.5x. Mopar modded Dodge and Chrysler vehicles at 2012 Chicago Auto Show

The 2012 Chicago Auto Show is running right now and at the show, Mopar is showing some modified Dodge and Chrysler vehicles, including the Chrysler 300, a new Dodge Dart, and a special Mopar Jeep Compass. All three of the cool vehicles are modified using factory Mopar parts. There is also a Fiat dubbed the Stinger at the show. Read The Full Story
