Bang & Olufsen has launched B&O PLAY, a new brand of more affordable audio-video products that promise the Danish company's customary style and build quality but at a price that won't shatter your wallet. Exactly how affordable the new range will be hasn't been detailed - B&O only says "more accessible levels" - but as well as showing up in the company's own stores the products will be featured in select Apple stores together with online.

Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook hands-on
Ultrabooks are sweeping the board at CES 2012, and Dell isn’t prepared to be left out: the company has revealed the Dell XPS 13, a new 18mm ultraportable that fits a 13.3-inch display into a 12-inch form-factor. Running either Core i5 2467M or i7 2637M dual-core processors, paired with 4GB of memory and either 128GB or 256GB SSDs, the XPS 13 measures just 12.4 x 8.1 x 0.24-0.71 inches and 2.99 pounds despite offering up to 8hrs battery life. We caught up with Dell last week to find out why they reckon the XPS 13 is the best ultrabook around.
ASUS Transformer Prime 700 Series hands-on

Bang & Olufsen has launched a new 65-inch plasma TV, the B&O BeoVision 12-65, along with a set of minimalist wall-mounted speakers, the B&O BeoLab 12. The BeoVision 12-65 uses an ultra slim NeoPDP panel and some clever optical trickery consisting of flexed metal strips to make the set look even narrower; it runs at Full HD, and has an integrated center-channel speaker for use with surround sound setups.

ViewSonic touchscreen wirelessly links to your phone or tablet
ViewSonic has outed a pair of new displays, the TD2220 multitouch monitor and the TDi2340 universal display, the latter capable of providing extra screen-space for your tablet via an impromptu WiFi connection. The TD2220 is a 22-inch LCD supporting two-finger multitouch, with 360-degree rotation and integrated 2W speakers.

Mercedes plots connected cars: Facebook AR, car-sharing & apps
Mercedes-Benz is talking connected cars at CES today, outlining a vision where future vehicles not only communicate with you, your phone and your social networks, but with each other and the cloud to promote car-sharing schemes and eco-friendly use. The company outlined its @yourCOMAND in-car communication, entertainment and navigation system - which relies on a smartphone connection and continuously evolving cloud services to buck the trend in quickly-outdated ICE kit - as well as potential future developments including a full-windshield head-up-display that would shift augmented reality beyond the realm of simply stacking visual data.

Razer Project Fiona gaming tablet revealed
Razer has delivered on its gaming tablet tease, revealing Project Fiona at CES today. A sub-$1,000 Windows 8 slate that could potentially launch in Q4 2012, Project Fiona packs a third-gen Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor and a hybrid user interface with a pair of integrated game controllers with analog sticks, each of which offers force feedback.
Razer Blade gaming laptop hands on
Unfortunately for rich gamers everywhere, Razer’s Blade laptop isn’t available for general sale yet. But they’re showing off the insane hardware at CES, and we couldn’t resist swinging by for a look at that integrated video touchscreen. The customizable screen adjusts for supported games, and works as a secondary display or trackpad for other uses.
Belkin WeMo promises iPad home automation
Home automation is something plenty of geeks dream about, but has a reputation for being tricky and expensive to implement; now Belkin hopes to address both of those concerns with its new WeMo standard. Using a combination of a WiFi-enabled AC plug adapter - which can be remotely turned on or off - and a WiFi-enabled motion sensor, along with a free iPhone and iPad app, WeMo promises to make setting up a smart home headache-free.

Unlike the Huawei Ascend P LTE, the Ascend P1 doesn't sport 4G LTE capabilities or an extended screen absent of softkeys. However, the 4.3" screen on the P1 is truly dedicated to your tasks. Even though it doesn't rock LTE, it is capable of HSPA+ speeds of up to 21Mbps - which is still good.

Polaroid has turned to Android for its latest digicam, the SC1630 Smart Camera, a 16-megapixel shooter with integrated WiFi for uploading shots immediately to Flickr, Facebook and other online galleries.
