OCOSMOS OSC1 TC and OSC9 get official: tiny Oak Trail gaming tablets

OCOSMOS has officially announced its two mobile PCs, the OCOSMOS OSC1 Tiny Computer (TC) and OCOSMOS OSC9 Tablet PC. The OSC1 TC runs an Oak Trail Intel Atom processor with a 5-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen, on-screen QWERTY keyboard and twin cameras, while the OSC9 has a 9-inch 1024 x 768 multitouch capacitive touchscreen, detachable QWERTY controller with virtual keyboard, and a companion pouch with space for a spare battery.

Microsoft expects Windows Phone 7 smartphones to be on sale at Sprint and Verizon by June 30 2011, according to Aaron Woodman, director of mobile communications business. Woodman outlined the timeframe in an interview with Seattle Times, though we're left hoping that date is the very last in a window starting considerably earlier in the year, rather than a sign that CDMA WP7 devices aren't expected until late in Q2.

Verizon is transitioning its FiOS TV broadcast system over to the same IP delivery technology as its video-on-demand and widgets, opening the door to a FiOS TV app which could allow subscribers to access their services on an iPad or other tablet, smartphone or other device. Verizon exec Joe Ambeault told Zatz Not Funny that, while subscribers won't see any difference in their traditional TV experience, the new system will allow far greater flexibility in the sort of devices FiOS TV is viewed on.

Fronted by a 10.1-inch 1280 x 720 display, the AO522 promises 1080p HD video output from an HDMI port, along with real time image processing with auto color and contrast adjustment.
