Dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon 8X72 chipset due by end of 2010

Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset may only now be turning up in any real number of mobile devices - you'll find its 1GHz thrumming away in the HTD HD2, Google Nexus One and various Smartbooks announced at CES 2010 this week - but that doesn't mean the company are resting on their laurels.  In fact the company's SVP of product management, Luis Pineda, has just revealed that there are at least two more versions of Snapdragon to come in 2010, running at up to 1.5GHz.

Intel WiDi debuts for HD-over-WiFi streaming; Netgear & Toshiba onboard

Intel have announced Intel Wireless Display or WiDi, a system for streaming high definition video content from your PC to an HDTV via your WiFi network.  Announced during Intel's CES 2010 keynote, WiDi requires a PC with a Core i3, i5 or i7 processor together with a standalone adapter box - priced at around $100, Intel reckon - which plugs into your HDTV via HDMI.  Intel demonstrated streaming Netflix from a laptop through WiDi to a TV display.

After showing you the T-Mobile ICD Vega tablet in action earlier on, did you really think we'd leave you hanging for its 7-inch LTE Ultra counterpart that Verizon announced a short while ago?  SlashGear sat down with the carrier at their exclusive LTE Innovation Center at CES 2010 earlier today to see the ICD Android slate - which uses NVIDIA's Tegra 2 chipset and a Motorola LTE radio - in action.
