ASUS Eee PC Karim Rashid Collection & U-Series Bamboo notebooks live

Looking for a bright pink or bamboo notebook?  ASUS have got your back either way, unveiling both a netbook collaboration with designer Karim Rashid and a U-Series notebook with real bamboo in the casing.  The ASUS Eee PC 1008P Seashell Karim Rashid Collection is the more eye-catching of the pair, thanks to a diamond-textured (and vivid pink) shell that's supposed to create the illusion of moving light, while the ASUS U Series Bamboo uses a plastic-injected bamboo material cladding Intel 32nm Arrandale CPUs and USB 3.0 connectivity.

ASUS G73 Stealth Fighter gaming laptop

We're generally sceptical about laptops with design "inspired" by something else, but ASUS' G73 gaming laptop does at least make a good hack at channeling some of the Stealth Fighter elements it's apparently influenced by.  We stopped by to check out the mobile powerhouse at CES 2010; check out more live pictures after the cut.

ASUS NX90 twin-touchpad notebook hands-on

D-Link Pebble Media Player for local & network streaming

D-Link would like to point out that Sling Media aren't the only company who can do place-shifting with interestingly-designed hardware, and to that end the networking specialists have outed the D-Link Pebble Media Player at CES 2010.  A curvaceous lump with both HDMI and ethernet connectivity, the Pebble can stream media from across a network or play it from local memory cards or USB sticks.

Sling Receiver 300 and Slingbox 700U add placeshifting to EchoStar and DISH Network

Sling Receiver 300 and Slingbox 700U add placeshifting to EchoStar and DISH Network

Slightly less eye-catching than a touchscreen remote and a portable HDTV with integrated WiFi, Sling Media's two remaining products could be no less useful if your cable or satellite provider does the decent thing and decides to offer them.  The Sling Receiver 300 is a slip of a box designed to hook up wirelessly to EchoStar's SlingLoaded 922 HD DVR and funnel 1080i content to a distant HDTV, similar in principle to the Sling Monitor 150 only without the integrated display.  Meanwhile the Slingbox 700U hopes to add place-shifting functionality to existing internet-connected DVRs.
