Three new additions from Samsung line of compact digital compact announced at CES 2008. The entry level L – series L210, L110 and L100 will feature digital image stabilization and intelligent face recognition. They seem to be the standard features on all entry models these days. Among the three, the L210 will have 10 mega pixels while the other two gets 8 mega pixel resolution and the only function that separated L100 and L110 is Dual Image Stabilization as oppose to one.

The Kenwood USA Corp has several different products out on show including a new line of amplifiers. The Kenwood KAC-9104D is a monaural amp and has 500W (900w at 1&2 ohms) of continuous output. It has a built-in Boost of up to 18dB at 40Hz, a variable low-pass filter and a variable infrasonic filter to help with reduced distortion at ultra low frequencies. It can be combined with a second one in dual mono configuration for a subwoofer of up 1,800watts of power. It’s 30% smaller than its predecessor and when it’s released next month it’ll go for around $300.

Interactive Toy Concepts, the people that brought you half a ton of flying gadgets and toys were showing of a yet to be released new product the other night at CES Unveiled. It was a small shelf stereo that had 8 GE Vacuum tubes backed by some digital amps, some really nice, moderately high end speakers attached to it and the whole set sounded pretty amazing.

Vincent may be surgically attached to his iPhone, but he still found a moment to visit Motorola at CES 2008 and grab some hands-on time with their Z10 kick-slider, fresh to the US.  The compact cellphone may look like one of Motorola’s fashionable-fancies, but inside there’s some serious hardware: HSDPA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, a 3.2-megapixel camera and 2.2-inch QVGA display.  They’re positioning the Z10 as a mobile phone film studio, and if you can ignore the hyperbole you might find you’re actually impressed.

So I stopped by the Intel booth last night at the Pepcom event, and they had a nifty little gadget they were showing off. Sadly they said it was an 09 gadget, but it was freaking awesome.

Can’t find a good reason to get the Panasonic Lumix? Wait a bit longer, the coming wireless Lumix will come with a twelve months’ free access to the T-mobile Hotspot service! Panasonic has announced a new development on wireless lumix with integrated upload capability to Google’s Picaso Web Albums directly via T-mobile’s Hotspot. HotSpot service is available in selected store and public location such as Borders, Starbucks, Fedex Kinko, Hyatt hotels and airports.

Its name might be a vaguely cheesy pun on ‘facsimile’, but if you’re running an online store the Photosimile 5000 desktop photography studio might save you hours each month.  Basically a turntable inside a 28-inch cube illuminated by 6,500K daylight bulbs, together with a Canon digital camera, the whole thing is computer controlled to take perfectly lit, instantly repeatable shots of objects.

The Qosmio G45-AV690 is an amazing laptop with it being the first notebook with an HD-DVD R/RW drive being one of the many new features. It’s a 17-inch notebook with a 1080p resolution for HD-DVD playback. This Toshiba laptop also has the OpenCable or OCUR chipset in it allowing you to have a digital tuner for recording digital or analog TV both over the air or from a Digital cable service and even allows the use of a CableCard.
