Fujitsu Windows 7 Tablet concepts previewed

Fujitsu's dual-display phone wasn't the only prototype the company had on show at CEATEC 2010 this week; the company also brought along a couple of tablet mockups.  Neither of the unnamed slates were functional - in fact the Windows desktops were printed onto stickers and pasted onto the front of the plastic slabs - but that didn't stop NetbookNews snapping some photos.

Panasonic LUMIX 13.2MP phone hands-on [Video]

The promise of 13.2-megapixels in a cellphone-sized package is a red rag to video-hungry bloggers, and so the SlashGear Japan team made sure to stop by Panasonic's booth at CEATEC 2010 this week to check out their new LUMIX phone.  To the untrained eye it could be mistaken for one of the legion of existing Japanese feature-phones on the market, but sure enough if you turn it around there's a 13.2MP sensor and a high-intensity flash.

Sharp Galapagos video demos

Sharp brought along their duo of Android-based ereader tablets, the 10.8-inch Sharp Galapagos Home and 5.5-inch Sharp Galapagos Mobile, to CEATEC 2010 this week, and SlashGear Japan stopped by to see if the prototypes were up to scratch.  Thankfully Sharp still have a couple of months before the slates' December launch in Japan, since right now the custom UI is sluggish and some navigation - such as multitouch gestures - can be painfully slow.

Pioneer Network Vision HUD video demo

Pioneer brought along its latest in-car technology to CEATEC 2010 this week, with a demo of their work-in-progress Network Vision HUD (head-up display).  The system - which was being demonstrated to SlashGear Japan with screens showing the moving road ahead, and a partial windshield which you could peer through - projects animations, directions and general guidance glyphs onto the glass, overlaid on top of what's happening in the real world.

Fujitsu Dual-Display phone prototype video demo

We can't get enough of the dual-rotating action of Fujitsu's double-screen concept smartphone, which SlashGear Japan caught up with at CEATEC 2010 this week.  The prototype has a pair of huge 960 x 480 touchscreens which can be left in portrait mode as a lengthy flip-phone or twisted down into a broad clamshell.
