iPhone 5 cases designed by Case-Mate have reportedly appeared in AT&T's inventory list. This adds some new hope that the next-gen Apple smartphone will indeed be a more radically revamped iPhone 5 instead of the minor iPhone 4S upgrade. Speculation involving the two possible models continue to flip flop, but we're certainly rooting for a next-gen iPhone that looks like the aluminum and glass mockup we saw earlier today.

iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 Otterbox case leaks not real
It turns out that the leaked images of some Otterbox phone cases yesterday are not for the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5. The phone accessories maker was contacted today after they posted a new banner that reads: "iPhone 4S or iPhone 5? Yes." This message seemed to suggest that Apple will indeed be launching two iPhone models come October, but Otterbox clarified that that's not necessarily the case.

Images have leaked from the prolific accessories maker Case-Mate that suggest the iPhone 5 will indeed have a radical new design. The images show renderings of case designs that support a lot of the rumors surrounding the next-gen iPhone. The company has been designing cases for the iPhone ever since the original launched on AT&T, so they’re more likely privy to some insider info.

iPad 2 Smart Covers Revealed
Instead of creating what Apple considered a “case,” they’ve come up with what they’re calling a cover, a Smart Cover. The first model they’ve showed us at the special iPad 2 event was blue, and will work as a sort of flap system that can fold back and also act as a stand for the device.

MIC Gadget were passed the case from an Asian supplier, which claims it was designed and tested around an authentic iPad 2; apparently 120,000 units were shipped out to "a famous case company" last month.
