With Apple now officially launching its most productive tablet ever, accessory makers are jumping on the opportunity to welcome the iPad Pro with open arms. Logitech, of course, is first on the scene. Although tablet keyboards are nothing new, the new Logi CREATE Backlit Keyboard Case is claimed to be the first third party keyboard to actually work with the giant tablet's special Smart Connector. The Logi CREATE Any-angle Protective Case, on the other hand, lets you orient the iPad Pro in, well, any angle that fits the need.
Any parent who has ever placed a tablet into the hands of a child has probably said the same exact thing. Don't drop it. Kids are clumsy and lack the strength to hold onto things that adults take for granted leading to lots of dropped items and Logitech has announced a new line of cases that are the first product group under the new Logi label.
A lot of people can replace their notebook with a tablet like the iPad and get along just fine for work and play. One of the things you can do to make typing on the iPad Air and iPad Air 2 more comfortable and faster is to get an external keyboard. It can be a pain to carry a keyboard as a separate unit so many opt for a keyboard case. Typo has announced that the Typo for iPad Air and iPad Air 2 is now available.
Although a lot of progress has been made on the Project Ara modular smartphone, its fate as a commercial product is still unknown until the day it lands in the market. In the meantime, those who believe in the modular dream might opt to bid their time by supporting this nexpaq Kickstarter. No, it's not another attempt at a modular smartphone. Instead, it is an attempt to deliver some of that same promise through a modular smartphone case that could, in theory, work with any smartphone, with a few caveats.
That was quick. While we’re currently (literally!) getting our hands on the LG G4, Mophie is already out of the gate with accessories. A notable name when it comes to external power packs for your phone, Mophie is introducing a juice pack for the LG G4. Juice pack is Mophie’s lineup of cases that double as power packs, giving you the pleasure of powering up while on the go, but not needing to tether to a clumsy battery pack via a power cord.
E-paper isn’t new, but slapping a sheet of it on the back of your iPhone is, with popSlate confident not only that its case is the best around for Apple’s smartphone, but that it can build a social network around it. They’re ambitious plans, but enough to persuade crowdfunding backers to part with more than $200k two years ago. Still, there are some things to consider before you wallpaper your iPhone with E Ink.
The back of your iPhone is little more than an advert for Apple, so why not make it functional? As YotaPhone has demonstrated, there’s no shortage of things you can do when the back of your smartphone is a display as well, but tempting iPhone owners to cross the aisle to Android is a tough sell. Enter popSlate, a crowdfunded success story that embeds an E Ink screen into an iPhone case. It’s taken a little longer than planned to reach the market, so is it a case of too-little, too-late?
There are hoards of people out there who take selfies all the time. The catch is that if you want to take selfies with a group, sometimes it can be hard to get everyone in the shot without resorting to something annoying like a selfie-stick. A new case called Zero G has debuted that promise to stick to surfaces without being sticky and eliminates the need for a selfie stick.
Behold the most massive Apple Watch case yet revealed. This is the Epik, made by the mobile accessories brand Lunatik, created to keep the 42mm Apple Watch safe no matter the conditions. Sort of. it's not going to keep your Apple Watch safe from a bomb - or water. But it will be made with aircraft-grade aluminum, and if you didn't know your Apple Watch was on your arm before, you darn sure will with this extra bit of action surrounding it.
Mophie has already made a business out of giving the iPhone more battery life than Apple put inside, and now it's looking to do the same with storage. The new Mophie Spacestation range updates last year's iPhone 5/5s models, combining both an external battery and up to 128GB of space for photos, music, and videos, either packaged into an external enclosure or - more interestingly - built into a Space Pack case for the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPad mini.
