iFrogz iPad 2 Summit Case Review

iFrogz iPad 2 Summit Case Review

Before we begin I should warn you that I've been rather skeptical in the past that the iPad 2 would ever need another case again, given the utter awesomeness that the Apple-made smart cover had. Because of this, the thought of adding any case that would disallow my ability to use that genius bit of engineering has, up until recently, made me a sad panda. Recently I reviewed a sort of hand-holder for the iPad 2 and it didn't fare especially well because it made a total mess of the other cases and coverings I was using - this iFrogz Summit case has no such problems working with my 3rd party peripherals. It's got protection on both sides, a nice leathery feel, and it allows the iPad 2 to stand up on its own - is it time to toss the Smart Cover and move on?

iShuttr camera accessory for iPhone adds Xenon flash

I have taken photos with my iPhone 4 a bunch of times and generally, the photos aren’t that great. They turn out blurry or too dark in my hands more often than not. The iShuttr might help that blurry business, but it will certainly help my pics to not be too dark thanks to the larger flash that case adds to the iPhone. The case promises to turn your iPhone into a real point and shoot camera.

KarasKustoms debuts new machined aluminum iPad and iPad 2 cases

KarasKustoms debuts new machined aluminum iPad and iPad 2 cases

A long while back, I got my hands on one of the machined KarasKustoms cases for my iPhone 4 and loved the case. It looked great, offered some protection from drops and was all around awesome to behold. The coolest thing about the case to me is that each of them is machined from chunks of aluminum and then uses screws to attach it. The gang at KarasKustoms has now turned the aluminum machining prowess towards making cases for your iPad or iPad 2.

iPad 2 StealthArmor Orange and Tungsten Unboxing and Hands-On

We've received our very own duo of iPad 2 armors from Fusion of Ideas - that's right, it's time again for SteathArmor! What we've got here is one skin set from their Colors series with Orange, and one skin set from their Metal series with Tungsten. Take a peek here at what these armors, wraps, skins, whatever you'd like to call them as they arrive at our doorstep and yours truly unpacks them.

BookBook iPad case supports iPad 2

BookBook iPad case supports iPad 2

I really like the cool BookBook cases from 12South. These cases look like old and battered hard cover books, but they are actually cases for all sorts of gadgets from the original iPad to the Kindle and more. 12South has announced that its BookBook style for the original iPad will fit the iPad 2.

SlashGear Week in Review – Week 12 2011

SlashGear Week in Review – Week 12 2011

Another week in the history books and another Week in Review for you to check out. We started the week last week with the alarms not working on older OS versions of the iPhone. At least the alarms were an hour early and not an hour late. The only fix for me was updating to the latest version of the OS. Terminix and its ad agency created a billboard in Dallas last week using thousands of live roaches. The board was designed to warn people of the germs roaches carry and to set an example to all the roaches watching of what can happen if they come into your home.
