Capcom removes Ultra Street Fighter 4 from tournament, blames Sony for bugs

Following the recent news that the release of Ultra Street Fighter IV for the PlayStation 4 has a large number of bugs and glitches, the game's developer Capcom has said that it will be pulled from the official Street Fighter tournaments, taking place this summer. Among the problems with USF4 reported, including audio issues and animation problems, the most damaging has been input lag, or delays between button presses and in-game movements/actions. As Street Fighter is built on some of the most precise timing mechanisms, lag of this sort would be devastating during a tournament.

Ultra Street Fighter IV has a problematic PS4 launch

These days, games developers seem to have two options: delay a games release date until bugs have finally been fixed, or rush ahead with the release of a glitchy game. In Street Fighter, the timing of complex button-thrashing attacks can make the difference between landing a special attack and getting dropkicked to the curb. Ultra Street Fighter IV (USF4) has just been released for PS4, but fans are experiencing bugs ranging from display lag, to smeared visuals.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for PC gets official local co-op

If you're a Resident Evil fan, you might have been swept up in that hoopla surrounding the disingenuous implications that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for PC offered offline co-op, then the follow up quiet correction made later on that no, sorry, there's not actually going to be a local co-op for PC. While gamers' hopes were low, a wonderful modder decided to make that local co-op mode himself, and apparently in light of that and the upset cries from gamers, an official local co-op has been promised...again. Only for real this time.

Capcom has finally bestowed upon iPhones and iPads a Monster Hunter title of its own. However, although this game has been retrofitted to be playable on mobile devices, it might not be the same Monster Hunter that you've grown to love and dreamed of playing on your iPhone.

Capcom now open to acquisition

Capcom now open to acquisition

Though Capcom has not gone out and suggested that they should be bought out by a larger company, this week they’ve voted to end a measure that would stop a "takeover" from happening. If a larger company - Microsoft or Nintendo, for example - were to buy up enough shares to take over leadership of the company, they could indeed do so.
