Nikon's second camera of the day, the Nikon COOLPIX S8100, lacks the manual control flexibility of the P7000, but gives buyers a 12.1-megapixel backlit CMOS sensor and 10x optical zoom instead.  The company is pushing it as ideal for low-light photography, aided by the EXPEED C2 processor, though it can also shoot Full HD video. Olympus' new Micro Four Thirds plans have been outed, and you won't have to wait long for the fruits of their development to arrive.  According to 43rumors, on Tuesday August 31st the company will announce a new E-P2 kit complete with a black 17mm lens and matching external flash, together with two new lenses, while on September 14th there'll be a new 12-megapixel Olympus E-5 to drool over. Magellan has outed its latest hand-held GPS navigators, the eXplorist outdoor series.  The Magellan eXplorist 510, 610 and 710 all have a 3.0-inch color touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, are waterproof and ruggedized.  Photos are automatically geotagged and can be accompanied by voice notes.
